NBC Sports' A. Sherrod Blakely got a chance to hear Gordon Hayward talk about his present health and conditioning in Boston over the summer. It has been roughly 22 months since Gordon's cringe-worthy left ankle injury in the 2017-18 season opener. He has worked with the Celtics staff over the summer, and it is very apparent that he is ready for a comeback season.
Having no restrictions on his training and facing no further surgeries seem to be at the forefront of Hayward's positive attitude about his health and the coming season. We welcome him back.

Nice to hear from Gordon Hayward on his health. There is nothing flamboyant about Gordon, so you can be sure he is working hard on conditioning and a new start for him.

"Back to no restrictions. That was really nice. Being able to train the way I'm used to training. Not have to worry about surgery, too. It's been really good from that standpoint."- #Celtics Gordon Hayward on his summer getting ready for the season. pic.twitter.com/4ac0VLjJpD
