It is not just that Marcus Smart is hitting his shots - it's HOW he is doing it. In last night's 100-75 win over the Magic, Smart put up 14 points in 21 minutes of action, while hitting 5-of-9 on field goals and 4-of-6 on 3s. But his Steph Curry imitation was fabulous on this 3-pointer.
Smart also added two rebounds, four assists and one steal to his repertoire, coming away with a team-wise-second-best plus/minus of +22. Marcus' smile as he turned away as the shot went through the net tells fans he has confidence in his accuracy this season. If Smart and his teammates continue to play at this level, they can be potent. At times, they played around with the opposition - slightly reminiscent of the Big-3 era of Bird, McHale and Parish. This could be an over-achieving season for the guys in green.
