Per Woj, former Celtics star, Isaiah Thomas, to be moved into starting lineup for Wizards

Per Woj, former beloved Celtics point guard, Isaiah Thomas, is being moved into the starting lineup for the Washington Wizards. His injuries are behind him, and he has been playing at the level Boston Celtics fans fondly remember when he injected life into a faltering organization. Beyond that, only a very few of my long-suffering readers know why I hold a special affection for this diminutive NBA star.


It is all about what may have been the darkest time in Isaiah's life when he encountered two of my family members most dear to me. This is some of the best news I could have imagined, and my hope is that it leads to a resurgence in Thomas' career. He has worked through dismal times and deserves it. I truly wish him the best.

In defense of Marcus Smart

 Let me make it clear first of all that I am totally against making a threat of any kind that even hints at harming, or certainly killing, another human being. Marcus Smart was wrong in doing so in the Celtics loss to the tanking Oklahoma City Thunder , and he deserved the one-game suspension. But to be honest, part of me loved that it occurred. . This type of thing can happen when a player gets to a point "beyond frustration" and is having a bad game. Marcus and his teammates have been under-performing generally - were in the process of losing to a pathetic-and-tanking Thunder team - and Smart was having a bad game . And he let loose verbally at the closest target - an NBA official.
