Can Charles Barkley and Shaq please do something to motivate Brad Stevens a little?

Let me start out by saying that I am a huge Brad Stevens fan.  What he did at Butler was ridiculous.  And he took us to game 7 of an Eastern Conference Finals just 2 years ago.  I don't forget that.

But right now, I'm not thinking about those successes.  I'm thinking about 2 straight losses.  And I'm thinking about that damned huddle.

Brad.  Seriously?  Dude. I'm not sure if Shaq and Barkley saw that huddle.  But if they did, I would love to hear their reaction.  It's embarrassing, Brad.  This is the NBA.  Show me some emotion.  Just a bit.  Just the tip.  Just to see if they like it. What you are doing in this huddle does not work.  How do I know?

Because we lost.  Scoreboard.

Yes I know it was just a regular season game.  But I'm struggling to understand what group of players you think you are talking to here.  This is not a group of students from MIT getting ready to take a math test.  This is Boston Celtics basketball.  I demand more from you.  Give me more. Take it to the next level.

And beat the Mavs tonight.

The Boston Celtics are going to win the 2019-2020 NBA title.

In defense of Marcus Smart

 Let me make it clear first of all that I am totally against making a threat of any kind that even hints at harming, or certainly killing, another human being. Marcus Smart was wrong in doing so in the Celtics loss to the tanking Oklahoma City Thunder , and he deserved the one-game suspension. But to be honest, part of me loved that it occurred. . This type of thing can happen when a player gets to a point "beyond frustration" and is having a bad game. Marcus and his teammates have been under-performing generally - were in the process of losing to a pathetic-and-tanking Thunder team - and Smart was having a bad game . And he let loose verbally at the closest target - an NBA official.
