Justice has been served to the hecklers who shouted obscenities at Isaiah Thomas during the Wizards 125-108 loss to the 76'ers last night. At least one of the two Philly fans made an obscene gesture and shouted "f**k you" as Thomas was shooting free throws. IT was ejected from the game for walking into the stands to verbally confront the two patrons, who were escorted from the arena by security staff. No physical encounter occurred.
The two hecklers were banned from the Wells Fargo Center for 12 months, and the season ticket holder who gave them the tickets had the tickets revoked. The action was swift and sure. Isaiah Thomas may still suffer the consequences for entering the stands, but this writer hopes it is a relatively minor penalty.
