The Twitter vote is in, and it looks like Marcus Smart is the poll's top choice when (if?) Ime Udoka decides to buck former coach Brad Stevens' long-held stand of not appointing a team captain.

Will Ime Udoka appoint a team captain this season? If so, who? Vote for your choice & give me your argument in notifications. Might use it in an upcoming article. I respect so much of the feedback I get from our followers.
A solid argument can be made for Smart in the position of on-court leader. He is the longest-tenured Celtic, And it seems that Udoka will employ The Wolverine for major minutes at the point guard slot. A case could be made for Jayson Tatum as team captain as The Green's best player - and Jaylen Brown, with one year more with Boston than Tatum, can't be ignored.
It took a while for Marcus to mature into his current status as an NBA professional, and it looks like he is finally there. He has been a vocal leader on and off the court, and he always sets the tone on the floor for intensity and hustle, never backing down in any situation. So, Ime Udoka, what do you think? Is it time to appoint a captain - and if so, who will it be?
