The Boston Celtics returning center was sometimes referred to as "Average Al" Horford, and now has been labeled as The Green's weakest link in the starting lineup. I'm not buying it (per Bleacher Reports Greg Swartz):
If Al Horford wins the starting center job, it's probably only a matter of time before Robert Williams III replaces him. The 35-year-old Horford is on the last fully guaranteed year of his deal, and he will have gone nearly seven months without playing in an NBA game by the time the regular season starts.
Horford is nothing if not consistent. He shows excellent shot selection, hitting 52% from the field for his career. He can't be left alone beyond the arc and he takes down rebounds at an 8.2-per-game clip career-wise. He also happens to be a superior facilitator from the top of the key. What's not to like?In Al Horford and Rob Williams, the Celtics have two of the best passing big-men in the league

If all of this is average performance over a 14-year career, I will take it. "Weakest link"? Well, if that's true, The Boston Celtics should have one Hell of a fine season..
