One current client asked if candy bars existed in the 1940's. I voiced that, - yes - I was born in 1944 and there were candy bars aplenty in that decade. The photo below being Exhibit A.
But at 280 calories in one snickers bar, is it worth it? Usually- not for me. I don't like them enough to take in that level of calories in a quick snack. And frankly, there is not a Hell of a lot of useful nutrition in the bar.
I have become famous (infamous?) for biting an M&M in half and never wolf down any type of food.
Keep in mind there are various tastes that need to be satisfied - including sweet, salty, sour and bitter. My latest craving is caramel-and-sea-salt ice cream. But only a couple of spoonfuls - not a bowl full.
Most guys lose weight at 1,500 calories per day, and most women at 1,200. A snickers bar at close to 300 calories may not be a good idea.
Booze and chocolate have also been broached. That is next.
.
Love these!
