"The Jay Team" needs to fly in Boston! Make that moniker take flight!

What if I told you the two top dawgs, scored 34 and 33 points last game. What if I also told you they came out guns blazing from start to finish! Not to mention they held a fourth quarter lead, and finished strong. Would you say this duo deserves an award?

Well we here at the Sentinel love giving out awards because it means we are winning. With that said may, we present the Jay Team! The Celtics Sentinel Citation Award Winners!

This game tonight proves that these two studs can win and play cohesively! Banner 18 will come and we will be led by these two special individuals! They aren't perfect players, but their games are maturing!

Tom's comment: Way back in my fledgling sports writing days, I proposed "The Jay Team" was the best moniker for the Jayson Tatum-Jaylen Brown pairing. In the win last night versus Indiana, the duo showed they can both star - play as a team-within-a-team - display synergy and win a game. These two have their heads on straight and are super-skilled. Our Jay Team was sensational in that win.

In defense of Marcus Smart

Let me make it clear first of all that I am totally against making a threat of any kind that even hints at harming, or certainly killing, another human being. Marcus Smart was wrong in doing so in the Celtics loss to the tanking Oklahoma City Thunder , and he deserved the one-game suspension. But to be honest, part of me loved that it occurred. . This type of thing can happen when a player gets to a point "beyond frustration" and is having a bad game.
