Another Net Demolition? Celtics take out Nets, 129-106

You can only play who is in front of you. The Nets are short handed but who cares! It's sports go out there and demolish them!

     1st Quarter

Nice start, something we all are used to is watching RWill slam an oop! The Wolverine is nailing threes, all is good! Celtics ball movement looks good after the break. I like seeing them attack the rim! Something about the Nets team I just don't like. Yeah the entire team!

GWill with the fake and drive to the rack! Teams have to respect him now that he's a sharp shooter! So far no let down off of the All Star break. Need to keep the D amped up and put these Nets players in their place, which is in a defensive lockdown! The Wolverine is on FIRE!

   2nd Quarter

Celtics coming out firing, I love seeing JB get to the hoop he's so elegant! Yet when need be he drops the hammer on his opponents. Celtics D just looks like a well oiled machine. Man oh man do I love the way this defense plays. Defense travels anywhere home or the road.

DWhite is going to become a fan favorite. He does everything, this writer however loves the way he plays D! Celtics crashing the boards tonight with aggression! Nice to see PP nail a 3 and see him running the point. If White and PP can continue their good play this second unit will be very hard for other teams. JT just dunked so hard on Drummond he should just retire.

   3rd Quarter

Here we go, Celtics ball movement lead to a RWill JAM! Celtics spacing and ball movement is creating a pace the Nets D can't keep up with. This ball movement is spectacular! JT is finding his teammates tonight! The Wolverine for yet another three, let's go Green!

Just like that the Celtics are up by 21! There is no team in the East who wants to face the Celtics, from my perspective. They play stringent D, and move the ball on offense plus they have two all around players in JB and JT who can take over any game!

   4th Quarter

Who in the East scares you Celtics fans? I'm going to say there is only one and it's the Bucks led by the Greek, maybe the Nets if they are healthy. With the way this Celtics team plays on the defensive end, they can shut down most teams. If JT and JB become that one two knockout punch we are going be tough to beat.

When you look at the growth of this Celtics team this season, the sky is the limit. Yes there have been some bad losses and lackluster play. Yet, this team has finally begun to believe in each other and their Coach. Defense, ball movement, grit and balls is a nice recipe to good basketball. You will hear some media members say they haven't played anyone well you can only play who steps on the floor. Bleed Green Celtics fans! It's gonna get exciting as we climb the standings and enter the playoffs.

In defense of Marcus Smart

Let me make it clear first of all that I am totally against making a threat of any kind that even hints at harming, or certainly killing, another human being. Marcus Smart was wrong in doing so in the Celtics loss to the tanking Oklahoma City Thunder , and he deserved the one-game suspension. But to be honest, part of me loved that it occurred. . This type of thing can happen when a player gets to a point "beyond frustration" and is having a bad game. Marcus and his teammates have been under-performing generally - were in the process of losing to a pathetic-and-tanking Thunder team - and Smart was having a bad game . And he let loose verbally at the closest target - an NBA official. Wilt Chamberlain did a similar act versus referee, Earl Strom when Wilt was having his usual tortuous time at the free throw line (per Chicago Tribune's Sam Smith): ''He was in one of those 1-for-13s,'' recalls referee Earl Strom. ''Nothing was getting close. S...
