On a cool Spring night, the Wolves enter the Garden!

    1st Quarter

Boston welcomes KAT and the Wolves, another challenging opponent. A team that earlier in the year beat us and all their key players were out. They are playing just as good as anyone. Expect the Celtics to try to shut KAT down and force other guys to beat them. It always comes down to D, and we know this group takes pride on the defensive end. Let's Go C's and grab the bull by the horns. Didn't they say the game starts at 6, by my watch it's past 6.

Garden sounds like it's rocking already! The Wolverine can have his way getting to the rack tonight. He's off from three right now, but his passing looks crisp. JB for THREE! Right now he's trucking, going 3 for 3 early one. He's the spark that's lighting the fire tonight. Tatum getting inside using his physique to get two! Love Tatum's D on KAt right there! RWill clearing up the rebound with the JAM! Celtics D is leading to offensive joy, keep this rolling guys!

Side note KAT is 1000 times better than t he Brow. RWill is the master of saving and or getting the Celtics extra offensive possessions! Tonight's going to be a barn burner. The Wolves play tough, gritty ball. PP is dripping with confidence nailing threes tonight!

    2nd Quarter

The way the EC is right now feels a bit like the NBAs own March Madness! So many teams jockeying for position it's so exciting. DWhite with a three and now a chance for an and 1! Going to need his offense come playoffs! Defensively he's stout and very cerebral, when he's on his offense comes hard. Intriguing Final Four, Nova vs Kansas and Duke vs NC. My money says winner of the ACC clash takes the title.

Celtics team D is swarming, and causing problems for the Wolves. Calling card of this team is DEFENSE AND ITS AMAZING! They switch 1 through 5 better than any team in the NBA. The numbers prove it but when you watch this group it's true defensive glory. Celtics are starting to cook right now, extending the lead to 15. Nice seeing Nesmith back, this kid has skills and given more time he will prove that. Just like that crashed the boards gets the two!

Side Note, isn't it great hearing Mike Gorman on the call. His voice brings comfort to all Celtics fans. GOT IT! We miss ya Tommy.

    3rd Quarter

After a good defensive performance, Celtics are rolling the Wolves. They have missed a few plays defensively but overall they are doing their jobs. You can't go wrong with 70 plus points in the half! What's becoming evident about their O is, it's comes off their great D and great ball movement. It's amazing when a team trusts each other out there. Need to keep it rolling as we enter the third.

Who is the Celtics X-factor come post season? I'll tell you, it's their Defense! Collectively as a team if they play defense at the highest level, no one and I mean no one is beating them. When you can force the other teams in the NBA to look disorganized, it's a wrap. Yes a playoff series is different but there is just something special about this D.

Wolves are chomping away at this lead. Celtics need to clean up their offense right now, way to many threes. Get to the rim! It's DUNK CITY!

               Celtic Pup Approves!

   4th Quarter

JT for MVP! JT for MVP! JT for MVP!

It's closing time, let's make it quick and rest guys up for the Raptors. Anyone else love seeing DTheis back. He just fits the Celtics like a glove! Willing to do anything when called upon. Love seeing Three Smith out there giving his entire body to the team with reckless abandonment! The fire he brings to each play is admired. When I get to work tomorrow I'm going in the door with that kind of controlled force.

JT and JB continue to look and play like basketball studs. These two never cease to amaze me with how much their games have grown. The ceiling for these two is.., honestly skies the limit. If both guys never stop practicing and getting better both numbers will be in the rafters. Before that we need to see multiple rings. Straight kudos to Ime for starting to unlock their true greatness, imagine if this trio sticks together. Along with the Wolverine and RWill let's go!

Bleed Green!

That's right it's a double Gino night!

In defense of Marcus Smart

Let me make it clear first of all that I am totally against making a threat of any kind that even hints at harming, or certainly killing, another human being. Marcus Smart was wrong in doing so in the Celtics loss to the tanking Oklahoma City Thunder , and he deserved the one-game suspension. But to be honest, part of me loved that it occurred. . This type of thing can happen when a player gets to a point "beyond frustration" and is having a bad game. Marcus and his teammates have been under-performing generally - were in the process of losing to a pathetic-and-tanking Thunder team - and Smart was having a bad game . And he let loose verbally at the closest target - an NBA official. Wilt Chamberlain did a similar act versus referee, Earl Strom when Wilt was having his usual tortuous time at the free throw line (per Chicago Tribune's Sam Smith): ''He was in one of those 1-for-13s,'' recalls referee Earl Strom. ''Nothing was getting close. S...
