The Heat is on, it's on the street! Celtics welcome the Heat to TD Garden.

Keys for tonight- prepare for Miami to try to muck the game up. Get out and run, don't allow them to dictate the pace. Just play Celtics basketball, and add to this win streak.

 1st Quarter ☘️

Heat start off in a zone, and the Celtics show how you break the zone! Tatum for the epic dunk! Followed up by a JT for THREEEEEEEEE!!! I've seen this zone give the C's fits in the past. Not tonight! Sorry Spo, this Celtics team is a cheat code! We have all the answers to the test!

JT is EN FUEGO!!! My goodness this man is spectacular! Watching him is like tuning into MJ, it's must see TV! I remember a time when all I did was set my watch too Celtics games, and Michael Jordan games. JT is now in that stratosphere.

Where is the Celtics D tonight, not doing a good job right now. Allowing the Heat to score at will. If they could clamp down on D this could become a run away.

C's are taking way too many threes, start getting to the hoop! Malcolm Brogdon is lighting it up from deep! His range is  impressive. I still want this team to get into the paint! Celtics lead after one 38-35.

2nd Quarter 🍀🍀

C's need to come out this quarter and exert their will on defense. They are allowing an inferior team, to stay way too close. BEAT THE HEAT!

Tony Brothers is going to work.... Somewhere in basketball Heaven Tommy Heinsohn is letting it be known, his disgust for Tony! I know I am!

Anyone else notice how Sam Hauser is pressing out there?! His shot is off and he's being exposed on defense. Hopefully he gets it going sooner rather than later.

JT just told Martin IN YOUR FACE! Hitting a nothing but net THREEEEEEEE! This Celtics offense can strike like lightning, it was tied and then BOOM up by ten! I Love it!

Can the C's learn to FOLLOW THEIR SHOTS?!! I know it looks pretty to pose but go get it! I haven't had much to criticize this season, which is fine by me. I will however call out what I see that needs to be corrected.

JB for THREEEEEEEEE!!! He's under the radar having a damn good game! Anyone who doesn't see how important he is to this team is BLIND. The Wolverine per usual giving up his body to get the charge. MB with an epic drive and pass to Luke for the JAM! Celtics lead at the half 68-60.

3rd Quarter ☘️☘️☘️

JB gets called for his fourth foul, and off to the bench he goes. Excellent steal by Marcus who starts the break, and DWhite gets the deuce. DWhite gets in the paint and scores!

Back to back JT for THREEEEEEEEES!!!! How good does Satch look chilling with Kate and William. I hope they realize they are in the presence of Celtics Royalty! Seeing Satch tonight reminds me of all the Celtic greats we've lost along the years.

JT is at 37 and we still have half the quarter left. You have to love the competitive fire by JT. Chirping at these terrible refs. He honestly has a legitimate gripe with this crew.

Anyone else find Kyle Lowry to be a irritant?! I'm not taking away from his talent, but he flops and acts his way into getting what he wants. It's annoying and makes me want to give him a real foul!

JT with the steal and acrobatic layup as he hits 41 points! WHAT A SHOT! This is Jayson Tatum's basketball world and we are lucky to live in it! JT diving on the floor, earning a Tommy point! Celtics lead after three 100-96.

4th Quarter 🍀🍀🍀🍀

Will the C's finally clamp down and play some D?! Doesn't look like yet....

C's offense is at a stand still right now. Way too many turnovers tonight. Come on now guys, let's get together! DWhite for THREEEEEEEEE!!! My guy!

Great drive by JB to get Marcus the ball for two! JB has committed way too many turnovers tonight, but he's still playing with fire!

We need a solid four to five minutes of great D to close this out! We are definitely capable.

What a sweet as honey fall away from JB! Al for THREEEEEEEEE!!! JB with the ONE HANDED HAMMER! THE GARDEN IS SHAKING!

Tatum has forty seven! An epic performance! We are watching what greatness is all about! MVP! MVP! MVP! Celtics win 134-121!

Bleed Green! Celtic Pride!

In defense of Marcus Smart

Let me make it clear first of all that I am totally against making a threat of any kind that even hints at harming, or certainly killing, another human being. Marcus Smart was wrong in doing so in the Celtics loss to the tanking Oklahoma City Thunder , and he deserved the one-game suspension. But to be honest, part of me loved that it occurred. . This type of thing can happen when a player gets to a point "beyond frustration" and is having a bad game. Marcus and his teammates have been under-performing generally - were in the process of losing to a pathetic-and-tanking Thunder team - and Smart was having a bad game . And he let loose verbally at the closest target - an NBA official. Wilt Chamberlain did a similar act versus referee, Earl Strom when Wilt was having his usual tortuous time at the free throw line (per Chicago Tribune's Sam Smith): ''He was in one of those 1-for-13s,'' recalls referee Earl Strom. ''Nothing was getting close. S...
