Prime Time Christmas Day Matchup Bucks Vs Celtics

A year to the day the C's played in Milwaukee on Christmas day. The site has changed and we get an epic slugfest from the Garden. My hope is we get the best of the Celtics. It's another present for me especially since I love JT and the Greek.

1st Quarter ☘️

Al opens up the scoring with a three!!! Followed up by a JB for THREEEEEEEEE!!! We are going blow for blow right now! JB is looking good so far tonight! C's have found their flow on offense so far. If they can get the O going watch out!

The C's offense seems to be clicking, keep that rock moving. Need to see the defense step up. Let's tighten up and send em home early. Seems like tonight is going to be a dog fight. Despite my wanting a blowout it's gonna be close.

So far we have seen the better parts of the Celtics offense. Some good ball movement and quick passes. Defensively they have not shown me that lockdown D. Haus Money goes off the glass for threeeeeeeee!!! C's lead after the first 36-28.

Celtics can definitely build on this early lead if they keep the ball zipping.

2nd Quarter 🍀🍀

C's come out executing pretty well on offense. Love seeing JT post up and draw the foul. If he keeps that up he will have a conga line to the free throw line! Driving JT is my absolute favorite.

Great D by the C's on Giannis... We have a Blake Griffin sighting! I'd say the game has played as I expected. Two heavy weights trading blows! Blake is a good guy to have to defend Giannis. He's willing to bang down low!

C's are still way too three happy, need to keep getting to the rack. Both Tatum and Brown are looking like stars so far. It's key that the Jays come out and continue to bring the fight to the Bucks.

JT just posterized the Greek! Boom shakala! JT to tht rack yet again! C's lead 62-61 at the half.

In a game that they are only up by one, they could be up by double digits.

3rd Quarter ☘️☘️☘️

Marcus starts things off at the line! Al for THREEEEEEEEE!!!! JT is having a solid game tonight! Playing like a big dawg should. He truly tends to get up for games against the Bucks. Giannis is a guy who brings out JTs best.

Just keep feeding JT! If tonight is a sign of what the EC final could be sign me up. JB forces the Greek into an offensive foul. Nevermind it's a foul... I'm not surprised they went with the foul. It's Giannis for crying out loud.

JT to the rack! Rob Will earning an extra possession. C's have built quite a decent lead right now. Expect a Bucks run in the fourth. C's lead 100-86.

Even though the Bucks are due for a run, expect to C's to play their best basketball of the night.

4th Quarter 🍀🍀🍀🍀

It's time to shut the Bucks down! Celtics extend their lead! Let's Go! Keep that ball moving and get into JT and JBs hands.

We see the Celtics continue to push their lead by playing like the team we all love. Tatum has been playing like a top stud should. You want to win in this league, your top guys need to ball out. That's what the Jays are up too! Especially JT!

Nice to see GWill hit some shots tonight, he's been iffy lately. The defense held their own against the Greek tonight, but beware the next time we play them. The greats never forget a butt whooping.

Tatum played a great game overall tonight, love how his game continues to grow. We have a bit of a tussle developing. Contact between Giannis and Jaylen leads to some harsh words. Marcus and Thanasis get into it. This is what I like to see! The top two teams in the league and it's getting chippy! That's competition!

Celtics win 139-118!

Celtic Pride! Bleed Green!

Side note a year ago today I was writing after losing my mother to cancer. I made sure this Christmas to honor her and enjoy every moment. The look on my nephews face getting his jerseys was priceless. I know Ma was smiling. Merry Christmas to our readers!

Guess what GENO TIME!

In defense of Marcus Smart

Let me make it clear first of all that I am totally against making a threat of any kind that even hints at harming, or certainly killing, another human being. Marcus Smart was wrong in doing so in the Celtics loss to the tanking Oklahoma City Thunder , and he deserved the one-game suspension. But to be honest, part of me loved that it occurred. . This type of thing can happen when a player gets to a point "beyond frustration" and is having a bad game. Marcus and his teammates have been under-performing generally - were in the process of losing to a pathetic-and-tanking Thunder team - and Smart was having a bad game . And he let loose verbally at the closest target - an NBA official. Wilt Chamberlain did a similar act versus referee, Earl Strom when Wilt was having his usual tortuous time at the free throw line (per Chicago Tribune's Sam Smith): ''He was in one of those 1-for-13s,'' recalls referee Earl Strom. ''Nothing was getting close. S...
