An early start as the Celtics play the Hornets on MLK Day.

Once again the Celtics are without Jaylen Brown. They could however be getting DWhite back. He's listed as probable, with the neck injury. I wouldn't rush him back even though I love watching him.

 1st Quarter ☘️

C's are pushing the pace nicely so far today. The defense has been decent so far, we need to see them lock em down! It's great to get DWhite back and he had a great alley OOP to Marcus Smart! The score is tied which is not ideal, but expect the C's to go on a run.

We have our first timeout of the game, and let's hope Coach Joe gets in their ears. Need to stomp on these Hornets and send em to the showers early! Love watching Rob out there, he's does all the little things out there. He also earns this team so many extra possessions!

JT gets to the hoop with ease, love that part of his game. What's concerning right now is the fact that the Hornets are living in the paint. Need to make that go away, especially if we want to win.

The Wolverine hits a nothing but net three! His performance the other night was spectacular! He passed the ball with confidence and ease. Like a true point guard should! Ever since he's taken on that roll he's shown how good he can be!

C's have increased their lead to ten by playing some very decent team defense and moving the ball well on offense. MB for three caps off the first and the C's are up by 13. 35-22 good guys! JT leads the C's with 11!

2nd Quarter 🍀🍀

Malcom Brogdon continues to impress me each and every game this season. He's scores eleven points right now and we just getting started here in the second! He's the missing piece to a title team. That's why if we are healthy Banner 18 could come true.

Luke the Unicorn Kornet with the alley OOP! I tell ya he's shown up when he's been called upon this season. Solid big off the bench, that may not light up the stat sheet, but the eye test shows he can ball! That doesn't mean I wouldn't mind seeing Brad get another big as insurance for Al and Rob.

The Celtics ball movement has impressed me today. They are in double digits in assists already! That's the sign of a quality team! JT brings the hammer DUNK to the rim and says Boom! The times that he attacks are my favorite! He can get to the rim at will!

Slowly the Hornets have found their way back into today's game. Celtics need to look inward and finish off the quarter right. It starts on the Defensive end! Jay T has found his flow today. Yet he gets called for an absurd offensive foul. Absolutely unreal! JT keeps attacking the rim and is making the line his permanent residence. Love too see it! Celtics lead at the half 66-55.

3rd Quarter ☘️☘️☘️

As the third begins the C's are in a much better position than they were on Saturday. Hoping for a similar second half as they had Saturday. Come out and force your will on them. They are an inferior team and you need to show them that!

This Celtics ball movement has been as crisp as fresh veggies! When they are moving the rock like this there is no team that can beat them. It's an amazing sight to see a team be that unselfish and find the open man! The Celtics have increased their lead to fifteen! Let's Go!

I'm enjoying the way DWhite is finding JT today. He's hitting him in stride and where he wants the rock! The more these guys lean each other's spots the harder it is for teams to defend them. JTs got himself a nice thirty piece so far today! Will we see forty?!

Love seeing the unselfish passing by JT! Finds GWill for THREEEEEEEEE!!! Just as Grant hit the shot JT and I both fist pumped! JT loves seeing his teammates succeed I love it!

4th Quarter 🍀🍀🍀🍀

C's allowed the Hornets back into the game, yet the C's came back landing haymakers. The bench even though they had a great game let the Hornets back in. Once the starters came back in we saw the best of what they could do.

JT shows why he's a true stud on the court! Doing just about everything out there today. His passes have been on point, he's been grabbing boards and his scoring has been en FUEGO!

DWhite has been his normal self out there, playing some great D and hitting his timely shots. Glad he didn't suffer any serious injuries from the other night.

JT has hit 48 and the Hornets and Celtics crowd are on their feet. JT steps back and drills a Three!!! Fifty one points on MLK Day! What a special performance! You are watching the best player in the league right now, leading the best team in the league!

Celtic Pride! Bleed Green!

Today we honor Martin Luther King Jr!

Let us all follow in his steps and be loving human beings!

In defense of Marcus Smart

Let me make it clear first of all that I am totally against making a threat of any kind that even hints at harming, or certainly killing, another human being. Marcus Smart was wrong in doing so in the Celtics loss to the tanking Oklahoma City Thunder , and he deserved the one-game suspension. But to be honest, part of me loved that it occurred. . This type of thing can happen when a player gets to a point "beyond frustration" and is having a bad game. Marcus and his teammates have been under-performing generally - were in the process of losing to a pathetic-and-tanking Thunder team - and Smart was having a bad game . And he let loose verbally at the closest target - an NBA official. Wilt Chamberlain did a similar act versus referee, Earl Strom when Wilt was having his usual tortuous time at the free throw line (per Chicago Tribune's Sam Smith): ''He was in one of those 1-for-13s,'' recalls referee Earl Strom. ''Nothing was getting close. S...
