Will the Celtics be Warriors tonight and beat Golden State?!

 1st Quarter ☘️

The Celtics have won the tip and we shoot a three. Not a smart start! Marcus does the Smart thing and goes to the hoop. Force Steph Curry to actually play defense. Marcus for threeeeeeeee!!! The more they make Curry work on D the less he has on the offensive end. Am I the only one who has sports angst towards the Warriors?!

JT for the JAM! Why isn't the Garden loud?! I want Old Boston Garden type levels of fandom! Al Horford is destroying Wiggins. Al Horford with the SPECTACULAR block on Jordan Poole! Al said get that weak bleep outta my house! Al has been solid like a rock tonight! The Warriors have no answers down low. Al with the pump fake and he rips the rim like a machine!

JB with the JAM! Great job by JB seeing he had Curry on him. He exposed Curry for the weak defender that he is. Tonight's game is very close. It would do a lot of good if the C's could just flat out kick their butts. I know the NBA won't allow that though.

Great job by GWill crashing the glass and scoring. C's trail after one by one.

2nd Quarter 🍀🍀

Will the Celtics start to play their game?! The Celtics can't find their flow at all on offense. Right on cue, MB for threeeeeeeee!!! C's get the rock and score in transition! MB for threeeeeeeee again!!! Nice to see him stepping up especially against the Warriors.

Great job by Luke forcing the jump ball against D Green. JT for THREEEEEEEEE!!! It only takes one and that's all he needs to get going. I don't know why, but JT needs to learn to post up more. Start studying Jordan and Kobe and go to work! It can become a huge weapon in his arsenal if he works on it. Heck even if he started posting up and using a jump hook that would be difficult to stop. Great job by JT forcing Klay to defend and getting the foul on him. Make Klay work on D, because he's a liability out there.

Celtics needs to try to extend this lead. Marcus hits the deuce! Marcus is playing a pretty good game tonight on the offensive end. C's just can't get out of their own way sometimes.

The defense sucks right now, I hope they decide to wake up. They have allowed the Warriors to get back into this game. C's still have not found their offense tonight. They need to find a way to break free of this haize the Warriors have them in.

These announcers suck by the way, they might as well be wearing Warriors gear. Marcus to JT to Rob the Lob and BOOM! DUNK YOU VERY MUCH! Rob to the line for an And one! Let Go! Rob crashes the glass and scores again! Rob does it again with the offensive rebound and score!

C's trail by one after two.

3rd Quarter ☘️☘️☘️

Charles Barkley has put into words that the Jays are not playing with the same fire as Curry and Klay. It honestly looks like that, the Warriors are playing like it's the finals. The Celtics are playing like it's just another game. At some point you have to question if the Warriors are owning space in the C's heads. I hope not but this second half still tell us a lot.

This game sucks! How are they playing so poorly in this third quarter?! This defense hasn't shown me anything tonight.

Rob is the only one looks like he has energy. Great job by Marcus posting up Curry. These refs suck! Marcus for threeeeeeeee!!! The refs are staring to take over. This crowd sucks as well tonight..

JT for THREEEEEEEEE!!! Marcus for threeeeeeeee!!! Celtics trail by six and this game just isn't fun to watch right now. I just don't get how they have played with no pop tonight. If you can't get up for tonight what are we doing?!

This entire game is frustrating to watch. The C's didn't come out ready to play tonight. They can't hit the side of a barn right now. They can't play defense, and both Jays are cold as ice.

MB and Rob have been bright spots so far. The Celtics trail after the third by seven points. Label this writer as being depressed by tonight's performance so far. I honestly expected more tonight. Clearly I hoped for too much.

4th Quarter 🍀🍀🍀🍀

The poor shooting has continued as we enter the fourth quarter. How does an entire team stop shooting the ball well? They only trail by six but it feels like a much bigger lead.

Celtics can't even hit their free throws. Just a disjointed game all over, no cohesiveness on offense, and the D hasn't been there tonight. Not sure why they picked tonight to do nothing right.

MB hits the three and the C's are down by five. They have a shot, but it still feels like a long shot. JB with the Jam and the lead is three. JT to the line and it's down to one!

Some how the Celtics have tied this game up with a huge JB for THREEEEEEEEE!!! Looks like we are heading to overtime!

Overtime ☘️🍀☘️🍀☘️

Marcus gets the bounce to start off the OT! JB gets in the lane and scores! C's off to a decent start here in OT. JB attacks again the C's have the lead once again.

JB to Al for THREEEEEEEEE!!! JT for THREEEEEEEEE!!! Off the Brogdon Block. Let's talk about that block and how huge it was. The Cs have come out punching in OT. C's have missed way too many free throws tonight.

In game that seemed as though they were running in mud they found a way to win. An ugly game that they managed to claw back in and eventually pull it out. For how I was feeling during most of the game to what I saw in the fourth and OT was a total shift.

Proud of how even though it wasn't going their way, they came back and fought like a champion should! That's 8 in a row!

Let's look at these numbers, C's out rebounded the Warriors, scored more in the paint, more second chance points and more fast break points. Despite only shooting 39.8 percent and running in mud most of the game. It may have been ugly but that's how you win in the playoffs. So this is a good one no doubt about it.

Bleed Green! Celtic Pride! Banner 18!

In defense of Marcus Smart

Let me make it clear first of all that I am totally against making a threat of any kind that even hints at harming, or certainly killing, another human being. Marcus Smart was wrong in doing so in the Celtics loss to the tanking Oklahoma City Thunder , and he deserved the one-game suspension. But to be honest, part of me loved that it occurred. . This type of thing can happen when a player gets to a point "beyond frustration" and is having a bad game. Marcus and his teammates have been under-performing generally - were in the process of losing to a pathetic-and-tanking Thunder team - and Smart was having a bad game . And he let loose verbally at the closest target - an NBA official. Wilt Chamberlain did a similar act versus referee, Earl Strom when Wilt was having his usual tortuous time at the free throw line (per Chicago Tribune's Sam Smith): ''He was in one of those 1-for-13s,'' recalls referee Earl Strom. ''Nothing was getting close. S...
