Celtics center, Rob Williams, is out of action once again - this time for a hamstring issue. If he is shut down (as is possible) for the remainder of the regular season his games-played numbers in his five NBA seasons are:
32 - 29 - 52 - 61 - 28
Those numbers don't bode well for his future, with Boston or the NBA generally. His Popliteal Artery Entrapment Syndrome goes back to his college days, but other culprits appear to be in play here. His supreme athleticism may be hius major attribute on the hardwood - but also might be his downfall.
#Celtics brothers and sisters, I love Robert Williams, but he hasn't even come close to ever playing a full season. This needs to be addressed in future seasons. How can the team get any continuity if line ups are constantly changing. They can't!

Basketball may have been designed as a non-contact sport, but injuries keep mounting. Many injuries occur with no contacting of other players. The high jumping, frequent leaps, fast pace, abrupt stops, quick lateral moves - all contribute to mishaps. Williams III jumps high - often - and might be one of the quickest "multi-jumpers" I have witnessed over the years.
Rob is immensely entertaining. He is just fun to watch. But fans don't get to see him enough. He simply cannot be relied on for long stretches, and Brad Stevens may have to make some decisions on his future as the post-season approaches.
