Raptors invade Boston

C's are coming off a win vs the Nets last night. Can they keep that winning momentum going vs the Raptors? I surely hope so given how well the 76ers are playing.

1st Quarter 🏀

C's are off to a very rocky start tonight. They need to shake the cobwebs off and get going. Toronto looks like they are up for a fight tonight. KP is here to play as well... Leading the C's early in scoring. The Celtics utilize an early timeout to get things right. It's gonna have to start on the defensive end, which should lead to transition offense. Porzingis and Holiday hit back to back shots off the timeout. JBs shot looks very good already tonight. Despite the whistle favoring the Raptors, the C's are fighting hard. JT gets on the board and hopefully that's the start of many. C's lead after one despite having that rocky start.

2nd Quarter ☘️🍀

Al coming off the bench has been so good for this team. In a blink of an eye the C's have a twelve point lead. It's basketball at its finest when their D leads to great ball movement on the other end. Resulting in plenty of points in building this lead. Sam I Am has found his stroke lately and tonight's no different. JT to Al with the sweetest of passes and leads to a deuce. He split the entire defense and made em look silly. His court sense has truly progressed. One of the better passers on this Celtics team. C's are playing disconnected, and the Raptors have damn near climbed all the way back. Jrue HOLIDAY WITH THE JAM! JT just put Poertyl in the washing machine. Rinse, spin and wash! C's with the lead at the half!

3rd Quarter 🏀🏀🏀

C's are off and running, JT looking like a dancer off the dribble. C's building on their lead as the Raptors call a timeout. Porzingis is such a deadly weapon for the C's! He causes so many issues on the offensive end for the Raptors defenders. C's are rolling up by 21. Feeling like a Geno kinda night! C's are looking like a well oiled machine right now. The ball movement has been tight in the third. Loving the way the rock is dancing out there. C's have played a damn near perfect quarter.

4th Quarter ☘️🍀☘️🍀

C's are clearly winning the hustle game tonight. Lots of Tommy points being given to the C's. JT just showing how damn good he is! Back to back threes that were damn near effortless! Talk about balanced scoring with the C's having JT, JB, and KP each with twenty points or more. Pretty impressive if you ask me! JT to JB for the emphatic exclamation point of the game! The C's when they are on are unstoppable!

In defense of Marcus Smart

Let me make it clear first of all that I am totally against making a threat of any kind that even hints at harming, or certainly killing, another human being. Marcus Smart was wrong in doing so in the Celtics loss to the tanking Oklahoma City Thunder , and he deserved the one-game suspension. But to be honest, part of me loved that it occurred. . This type of thing can happen when a player gets to a point "beyond frustration" and is having a bad game. Marcus and his teammates have been under-performing generally - were in the process of losing to a pathetic-and-tanking Thunder team - and Smart was having a bad game . And he let loose verbally at the closest target - an NBA official. Wilt Chamberlain did a similar act versus referee, Earl Strom when Wilt was having his usual tortuous time at the free throw line (per Chicago Tribune's Sam Smith): ''He was in one of those 1-for-13s,'' recalls referee Earl Strom. ''Nothing was getting close. S...
