Short Staffed

C's are down two of their super five as both Holiday and Porzingis are out. Hoping everyone had a nice Thanksgiving! Sorry I missed last game I was working.

1st Quarter ☘️

C's are off to a nice start led by JB! Al Horford is playing some very stout defense! Hawks play very little defense, but love scoring points. Plenty of minutes out here tonight for the bench. Sam I am for Three Hauser, hits his first shot. PP hits his first shot as well, you guessed it a three! Derrick White looks ready to play and expect him to have a good one tonight. I have to be honest these New Balance shoe commercials are, well not good. Luke Kornet is dominant in the post so far. JT is embarrassing Matthews. He should own him all game! C's lead after the first.

2nd Quarter ☘️☘️

C's are very active on the glass tonight as a team. Atlanta is over performing early on. C's will need to tighten up their defense. Queta gets a BUCKET! JT making threes, he's heating up folks! JT again!!! Queta is earning everything he's getting today. Gotta love how hard this kid is working. Despite a depleted roster everyone who's been in has made an impact. Signs of a team that believes in one another. Derrick White just parted the seas and dunked it home! O M G! JB just destroyed the rim! Unfortunately Clint Capella will now be on a poster for the wrong reasons. Love seeing the C's get out in transition! JT and JB are playing like the studs they are tonight! C's lead by a mile!

3rd Quarter 🍀🍀🍀

C's can't afford to have a slow start this third. Need to continue to push the pedal to the metal. JB starts us off with his fall away jumper. Pure as spring water from its source. Clint Capella needs to work on his free throw form. It's terrible! Love seeing JT with the long outlet to JB, who gets to the line. Expose the Hawks for the weak defensive team they are. Banton has brought the energy tonight as he's in that starting line up. Scal always tends to get excited for other teams players. I don't care for that... Just root for the C's and only the C's on the broadcast. Get the ball in Tatums hands. Let him run the offense. C's are hitting a little lull, as the Hawks are hitting their threes. Queta has earned some Tommy points tonight! C's with the lead but not by much...

4th Quarter 🍀🍀🍀🍀

Need to see JT make this fourth quarter his on all fronts. Starts on D and will lead to good team offense on the other end. He needs to own the post, Atlanta has no one who can guard him. Clear as day on that jumper off the spin cycle. Defender didn't know which way to go. Al Horford is money on the glass! Out hustling about three Hawks players. C's are not closing the way they should. Derrick White diving on the floor oozes Celtic Pride! Al just swatted Young's weak shot into the seats! Celtics Win!!!

In defense of Marcus Smart

Let me make it clear first of all that I am totally against making a threat of any kind that even hints at harming, or certainly killing, another human being. Marcus Smart was wrong in doing so in the Celtics loss to the tanking Oklahoma City Thunder , and he deserved the one-game suspension. But to be honest, part of me loved that it occurred. . This type of thing can happen when a player gets to a point "beyond frustration" and is having a bad game. Marcus and his teammates have been under-performing generally - were in the process of losing to a pathetic-and-tanking Thunder team - and Smart was having a bad game . And he let loose verbally at the closest target - an NBA official. Wilt Chamberlain did a similar act versus referee, Earl Strom when Wilt was having his usual tortuous time at the free throw line (per Chicago Tribune's Sam Smith): ''He was in one of those 1-for-13s,'' recalls referee Earl Strom. ''Nothing was getting close. S...
