Short Handed C's

Coming off the loss last night the C's are in Sacramento. They are without JT and Al. Time for a signature JB game. Derrick needs to ball out and we need KP to be solid. Jrue Holiday should be able to pick up the slack as well. Sam gets the start and hopefully he will actually make some shots tonight.

First Quarter ☘️

KP starts us off with a deep three off a nice pass from JB. I fully expect to see his entire arsenal tonight. He's going to need to have a good night. C's will have to manage his minutes all season. Protect him at all costs until the post season. DWhite is so very smooth on offense. He's also going to need to play a heck of a game if we want any chance at winning. No Tatum worries me, doesn't mean I don't believe in the rest of the guys. It's just an uphill climb vs a very good Kings team. Currently the defense isn't doing much, Joe calls the timeout... I hope they wake up or I'll be calling it an early night. JB has been a dunk machine early on and DWhite is pure from deep tonight. Nice job by the C's getting back into the game. Some how they have grabbed the lead, you have to admire the fight tonight. Derrick White has owned this first quarter. The C's trail after the first.

Second Quarter 🍀🍀

The pride of Portugal Neimas Queta out here busting his butt. The man is out working everyone. I love him! Jrue Holiday is super smooth, steps back off the dribble and nails the three! Love to see him have a signature game tonight. Jrue to Queta for the JAM! JB enters back into the game, let's get JB going. C's have really settled in tonight and are playing well. C's need to finish this quarter off strong. C's lead at the half!

Third Quarter ☘️☘️☘️

The Celtics have played pretty damn well in the first half. Brown and White have led by example. KP was sorely missed and it's evident by how well he's spreading the floor tonight. This third will be the key to winning the game. If they can continue to push the pace and make plays we should pull this out. PP has been shooting the lights out tonight. C's off to a hot start here! White to Brown on the break is money! JB just BROKE the rim and the beam! C's lead after three!

Fourth Quarter 🍀🍀🍀🍀

The C's are crushing it tonight! This is what good teams do after tough losses! So very proud of tonight's effort! The way they came together was huge! You have to love how the C's responded tonight. The way they have shared the ball and scored tonight has been excellent overall. Except for the first game and that loss vs Philly, Jaylen Brown has been playing the best basketball of his career. Kudos to him! PP has been en Fuego tonight! Jrue Holiday hits his season high tonight. What a game, what balance! The C's have brought balance to the force! That's for any Star Wars fans. On to the Clippers on Saturday!

Celtic Pride! Bleed Green!

In defense of Marcus Smart

Let me make it clear first of all that I am totally against making a threat of any kind that even hints at harming, or certainly killing, another human being. Marcus Smart was wrong in doing so in the Celtics loss to the tanking Oklahoma City Thunder , and he deserved the one-game suspension. But to be honest, part of me loved that it occurred. . This type of thing can happen when a player gets to a point "beyond frustration" and is having a bad game. Marcus and his teammates have been under-performing generally - were in the process of losing to a pathetic-and-tanking Thunder team - and Smart was having a bad game . And he let loose verbally at the closest target - an NBA official. Wilt Chamberlain did a similar act versus referee, Earl Strom when Wilt was having his usual tortuous time at the free throw line (per Chicago Tribune's Sam Smith): ''He was in one of those 1-for-13s,'' recalls referee Earl Strom. ''Nothing was getting close. S...
