Disappointed again

After a lazy collapse the other night the C's look for redemption. Late on Tuesday night I turned on the Bucks game only to see them lose a big lead. This is today's NBA, guys get lazy and with the three point shot leads disappear. For all those negative C's fans, turn on other games once in a while. Good teams lose all the time... Dame is supposed to be a super clutch finisher, well not on Tuesday. JB and JT were both putting moments together vs the Hawks yet laziness cost the team. Local radio and media of the C's absolutely SUCKS! So much negativity, this Celtics team is special and I will die on that hill. With that said C's look to enact some revenge and return to form.

1Q 🏀

JB drops the first deuce of the game, he's the spark that starts the fire. JB grabs the steal and jams it home, C's with the first four. KP when he shoots the three straight up is pure, when he falls away it's rough. He just needs to set himself and shoot straight up. JT on the break scores with the layup. I expect both Jays to play within the offense but score when needed. Time to redeem themselves for getting bored and lazy last game. I mean the entire team took things for granted last game. Tonight needs to be a complete game from start to finish. With no Al tonight, I'd love to see the X-Man get some heavy run. Especially with the big Dawgs in the lineup. Very sluggish start on offense, I'd like to see them move the rock with more efficiency. C's find KP in the post so he can dominate the mismatch. DWhite gets on the board with an and one, expect a good game from him. X with the post move that was super smooth. Not a bad first, yet kinda uninspiring.

2Q 🏀🏀

Awesome pressure with the press and PP steals the rock. C's score on the break and the lead is theirs. That change in the D has clearly helped with the flow of the game. I'd like to see the C's go on a run here. Generally speaking they have that ability to do so. Great seeing Jrue back out there and knocking down shots! He's a huge piece to Banner 18. I absolutely love him and always have. He's a guy who you love whether he's on your team or not. These refs completely suck! JB gets called for a charge while the defender was moving. These refs have been inconsistent with the C's tonight. Can we just feed KP in the post and let him destroy these mismatches. JT and Derrick both hitting threes, is a good sign. Since the C's haven't been shooting the three very well tonight. C's only lead by four.

3Q 🏀🏀🏀

I wonder if the C's are falling into a trap, only ten games left until the playoffs. Are they taking their foot off the gas? I do know I want them healthy for the playoffs. I want them chomping at the bit, and frothing at the mouth. The only thing they will be focused on is Banner 18. C's must amp up their D in the third. It's been very lazy so far tonight. We need to box out as well, way too many extra possessions for the Hawks. This game has no flow for the C's. DWhite is lighting the lamp from deep. C's grab the board and are off to the races. C's grab a slim lead, now they need to dig deep on D and go on a run. They haven't really separated themselves from these Hawks tonight. JB with the epic steal on the perimeter. What a difference it is having White and Holiday back. JB with the Block! That's the D I was talking about! Till with the quick hands! KP with a block! DEFENSE BABY! JB with the Dunk of the game! He put Fernando on a poster and in the grave! C's by one...

4Q 🏀🏀🏀🏀

Sam for three is pure as dove soap. C's rebounding sucks tonight. The C's have the advantage on fast break points, but the Hawks own second chance points. The lack of work on the boards is going to cost the C's the game. Not to mention their D hasn't been what it should. It's no where near what they are capable of. C's have the ball down by one, better make it a good play. They get JT in a mismatch, and he hits the line. C's and Hawks are going back and forth. JT gets very little calls whenever he is aggressive. The refs hold their whistles especially when he's earned the call. This game is going down to the wire, C's need to come up big. JB with the turn around jumper! Bang! Should have been an and one!

Overtime 🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀

C's need to draw up better plays when it comes to end of game situations. JT on the drive and scores. Now go and make that and one count. Both teams are trading shots as the overtime reaches its peak. C's down by one, time for a well run play. JB with the dagger! C's by one! Time to play some freaking D! Well no stop and that's the game.

In defense of Marcus Smart

Let me make it clear first of all that I am totally against making a threat of any kind that even hints at harming, or certainly killing, another human being. Marcus Smart was wrong in doing so in the Celtics loss to the tanking Oklahoma City Thunder , and he deserved the one-game suspension. But to be honest, part of me loved that it occurred. . This type of thing can happen when a player gets to a point "beyond frustration" and is having a bad game. Marcus and his teammates have been under-performing generally - were in the process of losing to a pathetic-and-tanking Thunder team - and Smart was having a bad game . And he let loose verbally at the closest target - an NBA official. Wilt Chamberlain did a similar act versus referee, Earl Strom when Wilt was having his usual tortuous time at the free throw line (per Chicago Tribune's Sam Smith): ''He was in one of those 1-for-13s,'' recalls referee Earl Strom. ''Nothing was getting close. S...

Did the Celtics Kevin McHale really have a wingspan of 8-feet?
