Mile High Madness

Mazzulla Madness has brought these C's to the best record in the NBA. Despite all the crap Joe takes from the media, he's done a pretty good job this season. Tonight the C's look for payback vs the Nuggets, who beat them in the Garden.

First Quarter 🏀

This arena is rocking from its foundation! C's late on the switch and Denver opens the scoring. JT nails a three and we are off. DWhite is back home here in Colorado. I'm expecting to see something special from him tonight. What a steal by DWhite and throws the alley oop for JB! In an absolute joke of a technical Tony Brothers calls one on JB. Tommy always disliked him and so do I! Tonight's game feels like a heavy weight fight! I'm not too impressed with the C's D right now. They better start getting back to cleaning up those switches. Generally they are one of the best, not the story right now. Joe needs to get in their ear and let em know. Jokic amazes me given his body type, the man can play! I need to see some plays set up for DWhite. When he scores double digits this team wins. I love seeing Big Till body up Jokic. He's even got some skills down low as he posts up and scores. C's trail after one due to Murray pulling a shot out of his behind.

Second Quarter 🏀🏀

C's still need to do better on D, man up and let's figure it out. I'm not worried about their scoring tonight, it's the D right now. We need to see DWhite assert himself here in the second. Get the man some touches and let him get to work. Kudos to JB for working the glass and earning multiple Tommy points, which leads to a basket. C's are getting good looks, but trail as we speak. JB is owning the second quarter on offense. So much so he nails a three! Did I just hear a Let's Go Celtics chant?! That's what I'm talking about. C's need to make a run in this second quarter. Finish this half strong, and grab a lead. If the C's can push this tempo we can win this game. C's are leaving a lot to be desired for me tonight. These refs have been awful on both ends and technicals on the C's. C's trail...

Third Quarter 🏀🏀🏀

C's will really need to find themselves tonight if they want to win. That second quarter left me annoyed. You are coming off blowing a huge lead vs the Cavs and I expected more from them tonight. Get it together and let's make a comeback. C's need to clean up their turnovers and also not let Denver go on runs as they did at the end of the first and second quarters. If you listen to Joe that's where he says games are won and lost. C's are in need of some JT in the third! KP from deep times two, and we are right back in it! Jokic gets more love from the refs then JT and it's not even close. JB can't be stopped tonight! He's carrying them tonight! This game is going to come down to the end. They will have to flip the narrative they can't execute in one possession games. Time for their best basketball of the year here. C's trail after the third.

Fourth Quarter 🏀🏀🏀🏀

In an other wise fun season tonight's games kinda sucks. The C's trail by ten and really aren't playing very well. No one other than Brown and KP are going anything. Jrue hasn't done much on offense and DWhite hasn't gotten enough touches. Tatum has been quiet t this point. Let's see if they have what it takes to come back on the road against the defending champs. JT might be lighting the match to get himself going. Hits a T and then drives to the cup for two. Tonight feels like an uphill climb while olive oil is all over the mountain..C's find some traction on that mountain and have cut the lead to six. Timeout Nuggets, can the C's make this comeback?! We will see... Those new balance commercials are terrible. If that was my show companies roster I'd fold it up and call it a career. C's lose yet they should have won. No team ever won a NBA title in March, C's are on to Phoenix.

In defense of Marcus Smart

Let me make it clear first of all that I am totally against making a threat of any kind that even hints at harming, or certainly killing, another human being. Marcus Smart was wrong in doing so in the Celtics loss to the tanking Oklahoma City Thunder , and he deserved the one-game suspension. But to be honest, part of me loved that it occurred. . This type of thing can happen when a player gets to a point "beyond frustration" and is having a bad game. Marcus and his teammates have been under-performing generally - were in the process of losing to a pathetic-and-tanking Thunder team - and Smart was having a bad game . And he let loose verbally at the closest target - an NBA official. Wilt Chamberlain did a similar act versus referee, Earl Strom when Wilt was having his usual tortuous time at the free throw line (per Chicago Tribune's Sam Smith): ''He was in one of those 1-for-13s,'' recalls referee Earl Strom. ''Nothing was getting close. S...
