The Greek Is In Town Opa!

Giannis and the Bucks come into Boston with questions. Giannis himself is wondering who his team is... They are 1-2 and don't have an identity. Unlike our Boston Celtics who are the best team in the NBA. It's always fun when the C's play the Bucks. Especially because Giannis is a truly special player. With that said Let's Go Celtics!

1Q🏀

Here we go, it's game time! So far it's a scoreless first. C's have come out a bit cold, kinda like the temperature out there tonight. C's ball movement is there but the shots aren't falling. Al Horford with the block of the game already! Sent the shot by Giannis out like grease lightning! That block lead to DWhite scoring in transition. DWhite followed up the layup with a beautiful three pointer. DWhite has the C's first seven points.

C's better be careful because Dame looks locked in early on. Jaylen Brown has transformed his body into a machine. He's absolutely ripped and barely fits in his Celtics jersey. Jrue with the steal that leads to him nailing a three in transition. Defense leads to offense which is exactly how they drew it up. When you put the work in on the defensive end, it pays off on the other end.

JT has gone to the rack twice, gotten hacked and no calls at all. Off the misses free throw the C's get quickly up the floor and Pritch nails the three. Push that tempo guys, this Bucks team is slow. Pritch just abused Wright and scores inside! The way Pritchard uses his body despite being small is something to marvel at. He's a guy who can shift his speeds in a very strategic way. He can stop on a dime and nail a shot in your face.

JT attacking the rim is my favorite JT! He has such upper body strength, and is difficult to stop. He's worked on his body since he entered the league. I wouldn't want to guard him out there. It's a tight game early on. C's trail by one 29-28.

2Q🏀🏀

JB opens up the second with a sweet little push shot. C's have five early turnovers and it's costing them. PP from almost half court for the three! He has three from deep already tonight. He's becoming a super sub off this bench. DWhite with yet another block! Leads to PP getting an easy layup. Yet again we see defense leading to offense. PP has five threes!!!!! This kid is straight out balling tonight!

If it weren't for PP I'm not sure where the C's would be tonight. He's been a spark of energy off the bench and is en Fuego! I knew when the C's drafted him we got a steal. He was a dawg in college and even more so now as a pro. Just an assassin from beyond the arc. He might set some career highs tonight.

Al comes in and off the pick and pop scores! Jrue Holiday gets into the paint and finds Al for the corner three! Jrues court vision is that of a hawk. C's haven't been given any whistles early on. The Bucks have been given the bulk of the calls this evening. Not surprising at all, given Tony Brothers is out here tonight.

What a rebound by JB! That's an underrated part of his game. Not very pleased with where the Cs are in this game. Yet seeing them force the Greek into shooting threes is a pleasant surprise. Since unfortunately he can't! C's trail by three 56-53.

3Q🏀🏀🏀

C's come out with five points right away. DWhite finds JT for three! His first of the night, and more to come! C's are starting to wear down the Bucks. So far tonight we haven't seen that all out offensive explosion. Yet the C's are right there despite Tony Brothers reffing tonight's game.

What a drive and kick by Jrue to Al for the three! C's have no answer for Giannis right now. He's running through them like nothing. Once he gets that step he's truly unstoppable. People mock his game but I love it. He's straight bullying the C's defenders.

Great block by JT on Dame, that's what your top players need to do. JB is taking over on the offensive end! Going at the Bucks two plays in a row! C's are getting robbed by the refs right now. Delay of game technicals...

DWhite for three! C's with a slim lead. DWhite for three again!! DWhite BLOCKS Giannis! Jordan Walsh with a tip in! C's coming up clutch here in the third! They are making the right plays at the right time! Derrick White has taken over this third Quarter. Making all the plays you want out of your NBA championship / Gold Medal winner. C's lead 90-82.

4Q🏀🏀🏀🏀

JB gets inside and scores off the pass from Luke. C's are starting to stifle Giannis just a bit. He's starting to travel and commit offensive fouls. JB to Pritchard for THREE!!! Pritchard is an ASSASSIN TONIGHT! He's a straight baller! Firing on all cylinders!

JB gets inside scores and gets the and one! Missed the free throw but I love his ability to get down low. The way he's built up his body is a good reason why he should dominate inside. JB with the stop on a dime and goes off glass! And One! MONEY! Bucks have chipped away at the lead. Timeout Joe...

Pritchard for another THREE!!! Jrue gets to the cup with a chance for a three point play. Now we get JT with a pure Jordan like fall away jumper! Tonight's game has been a testament to who these Celtics are a true team. Despite JT having an off night JB, Jrue, Derrick and Pritchard all stepped up. How blessed are the Cs to have the best starting five in the league while still not having KP. This team is special folks. Celtics win and improve to 4-0!

Bleed Green! Celtic Pride! C Us Rise!

Nineteen in Green!

In defense of Marcus Smart

Let me make it clear first of all that I am totally against making a threat of any kind that even hints at harming, or certainly killing, another human being. Marcus Smart was wrong in doing so in the Celtics loss to the tanking Oklahoma City Thunder , and he deserved the one-game suspension. But to be honest, part of me loved that it occurred. . This type of thing can happen when a player gets to a point "beyond frustration" and is having a bad game. Marcus and his teammates have been under-performing generally - were in the process of losing to a pathetic-and-tanking Thunder team - and Smart was having a bad game . And he let loose verbally at the closest target - an NBA official. Wilt Chamberlain did a similar act versus referee, Earl Strom when Wilt was having his usual tortuous time at the free throw line (per Chicago Tribune's Sam Smith): ''He was in one of those 1-for-13s,'' recalls referee Earl Strom. ''Nothing was getting close. S...

Did the Celtics Kevin McHale really have a wingspan of 8-feet?

According to many sources, the Celtics Kevin McHale did indeed have an estimated wingspan of 8-feet.
