C's Buzz Into Charlotte

C's are in Charlotte for a back to back.

 🏀

JB opens us up in scoring, and JT follows suit after that. So far Charlotte is going toe to toe with us. Charles Lee will have these Hornets playing hard tonight. There's definitely some talent on this Hornets team. C's are off to a slow start on the offensive end. Shots just aren't falling right now. C's need to start pushing in transition. Speed this game up. DWhite nails a three! I love his shot!

What's incredible about Derrick White is his ability to be solid on both ends of the floor. He's the ultimate teammate and exemplifies what it means to be a Celtic. Red would have loved him. I love watching him on defense, because it's like looking at art. Both he and Jrue should be used in a how to video about playing defense.

C's are starting to push the pace like I was hoping they would. Now the lead is starting to push towards double digits. Now it is double digits! A heck of a 15-1 run we are in the midst of. It's great seeing Queta get some run here. Goes up there and rips the offensive rebound! Love his aggressiveness and knowledge of the game.

Charlotte has trimmed the lead to only five. The last few offensive possessions have amounted to nothing. I'd like to see some DWhite action and just like that he scores! Queta is doing it all especially on that top right there! C's have 7 offensive rebounds already. Talk about a team that's hungry. Hauser gets on the board with a corner three! C's lead after the first.

🍀☘️

Queta is everywhere tonight! I love guys like him who come out of no where. He gives everything he has out there. It's guys like that who fill out the roster, and contribute to the success of the team. With KP not playing it gives guys like Queta, Kornet, and Till the opportunity to grow on this team.

JB has been very aggressive in this second quarter. Getting himself to the line a few times already. Someone needs to knock Ball on his rump! Jordan Walsh off the bench and nails a three! JB just abused Ball on that drive! Followed it up with a HUGE HAMMER JAM! Timeout Charlotte...

JB has become very good at finding his teammates for open shots. He's also very good at his fall away mid range jumper! Nothing but Net! Jrue Holiday getting deep into the post and scores. He's unstoppable in the paint. Queta has been a menace in both ends tonight. C's lead by four at the half.

🏀🏀🏀

I'd really like to see the Celtics step up on the defensive end here in the third. C's must establish themselves here in the third and go on a run. Man up and play some freaking D!

Luke Kornet dribbles into the paint and scores! JB gets Ball in a switch and totally went beast mode as he posted him up. Whoever Ball is guarding should take him into the post and light him up. Luke Kornet on the block! Defense wins championships! Luke isn't the most athletic player but he knows how to position himself.

Going to need to see JT take over here. Time to let him run point a bit and get things going. He's got great court vision and I want to see it tonight. Offense seems a bit stagnant now, let's get some motion going to the hoop. There we go, JT to the cup and goes off glass. Great ball movement as DWhite gets it to Luke and Luke finds DWhite for three! When the C's move the rock they are tough to guard. C's are on a bit of a run and it's timeout Charlotte.

C's with some pretty balanced scoring from their Core Four! We also get another excellent block from Luke! JT his an iso three from the corner. That's damn near unstoppable! C's have four minutes to build this lead. Which they aren't as we speak. C's can't do anything right now. Until that Sam I am Hauser for three. PP with a huge basket as the shot clock expires. C's just played excellent D to force a shot clock violation. C's lead after the third.

🍀☘️🍀☘️

DWhite opens the fourth in the paint. JB with the left off the glass! He was fouled and there was no call. Excellent job by JB on that last play. Driving and getting the D to commit and finds Luke inside. That's some great court vision right there! Another savvy move by JB driving and getting Ball to hack him. JBs ability to read the defense right now is killing the Hornets.

The lead is very slim right now, C's need a few stops in a row. Joe gets himself a T after a terrible call on Queta. Nice to see the fire from Joe! What a block by DWhite on old friend Grant Williams. He always makes the big plays when you need him to. Have I said how much I love watching him play basketball.

C's are in the bonus for the rest of the game. More reason to attack the rim and force em to foul you. So far tonight we have seen the studs do their jobs, but also the subs make huge impacts and plays tonight. Queta and Luke have been sending weak shots out all night. Queta with a one handed hammer jam that shook the entire building like an earthquake.

We are under six minutes to go, it's championship DNA time. Calling all Celtics to STEP UP! Love seeing the Celtics expose Ball for the non defender that he is. C's with a seven point lead, let's make it rain and grow! After that Mazzulla T I witnessed a change in the way the C's are playing. Time to finish this one off in style.

C's are in a pretty good spot right now. There's still time for a Hornets run, but I expect the C's to swat them away. The lead is ten... Now down to six. C's need a basket now! Queta finds Jrue for a HUGE THREE! Grant Williams with a total dink move on that foul to Tatum. Dirty play honestly. Flagrant foul two on that one. Grant has been kicked out of the game. C'mon Grant what the heck are you doing???

C's come into Charlotte and grab the win! Overall they played pretty good on the offensive end. They definitely left points out there. On defense they had moments that were championship esque. Then there were times with very minimal D all together. I expect to see some different things tomorrow night.

Celtic Pride! Bleed Green! C Us Rise! Nineteen in Green!

In defense of Marcus Smart

Let me make it clear first of all that I am totally against making a threat of any kind that even hints at harming, or certainly killing, another human being. Marcus Smart was wrong in doing so in the Celtics loss to the tanking Oklahoma City Thunder , and he deserved the one-game suspension. But to be honest, part of me loved that it occurred. . This type of thing can happen when a player gets to a point "beyond frustration" and is having a bad game. Marcus and his teammates have been under-performing generally - were in the process of losing to a pathetic-and-tanking Thunder team - and Smart was having a bad game . And he let loose verbally at the closest target - an NBA official. Wilt Chamberlain did a similar act versus referee, Earl Strom when Wilt was having his usual tortuous time at the free throw line (per Chicago Tribune's Sam Smith): ''He was in one of those 1-for-13s,'' recalls referee Earl Strom. ''Nothing was getting close. S...

Did the Celtics Kevin McHale really have a wingspan of 8-feet?

According to many sources, the Celtics Kevin McHale did indeed have an estimated wingspan of 8-feet.
