C's look to bounce back tonight

C's look to restart their winning ways tonight vs the Nets.

 ☘️

C's must establish tempo early on and show the Nets why the Garden is a tough place to play. C's are yet again without JB and I'm counting the days until he's back. Luke Kornet will also miss tonight's game. In tonight's starting lineup we have the Fab Four plus X. Looking forward to what he brings to this team. I'm still not over that Warriors loss but beating the Nets will make me feel better.

Old friend Dennis Schroder is in town tonight. Nets score first... C's are yet again off to a very slow start. What an absolutely atrocious start. C's better wake the heck up. I'm not looking to see a second loss in a row. Joe with a timeout which should light a fire under their rumps. This game sucks right now... C's need a spark, because this isn't our team right now. JT for three and I think the run is coming.

C's down by nine, Jrue is posting up where he can be tough to guard. He should be able to do this all night. So far Jrue has been a steady force tonight. Being that veteran leader on the floor. Now all we need is the rest of the guys to follow suit and make things happen. If the C's want back into this game it all starts on D. D up go on a run and this game is the C's.

Nice Hustle play by Queta drawing the foul. Earning the C's an extra possession. Both Sam and PP hit their first shots which is a good sign. JT hits a three and yet the Nets lead is large. JT with another three from the same spot! JT gets to the cup and draws the foul. Looking to cut into this lead even more. His game has grown so much since he entered the league. C's trim the lead to four and it's on!

🍀🍀

I'm expecting JT to come up huge in this quarter. Need some DWhite here in the second to get his flow going. PP gets the bounce on the three! Needed that one! I loved that play and how they moved the ball there. Finding PP in his wheelhouse. C's are getting killed inside the paint.

Damn DWhite can't buy a bucket tonight. C's are starting to give up all the work they put in to trim this lead. What a drive by DWhite going to the left, he uses it so well. He's truly become an excellent Celtic. For me he epitomizes being a Celtic. We are going to need some of that Celtic mystique to get this one done tonight.

C's take yet another timeout because they look very disjointed tonight. C's have about six minutes to do some damage. Great outlet pass from DWhite to Jrue! C's continue to fight uphill, shots that usually fall aren't. PP has been that spark I was looking for tonight. Steal of the draft when they grabbed him a few years ago.

JT with some championship level defense right there. PP with an up and under plus one! Let's Go! C's need to finish this quarter strong! C's only trail by two and yet it could have been worse. They better be ready in the third...

☘️☘️☘️

C's need to use their team first ball movement efficiently right now. Dig deep on D and make a run. Watching the second big three of KG, Ray and the Truth on these behind the scene videos are so special. Man did I love those guys and feel they deserved more than one ring. If it wasn't for the refs screwing em in game seven they would have two.

C's first possession ends up with a miss. Queta with back to back defensive stops. C's can't buy a freaking bucket early. Feels like the first quarter all over again. Queta with another quality defensive play. Everything about him is just pure heart! DWhite gets inside, scores and gets the And One! We are all tied up!

Al for three!!! C's have a lead! Damn they just can't put together multiple scoring possessions in a row. JT for three!!! I don't know what's going on but can we go on a damn run here. Letting this Nets team believe they have a shot is waning on my patience. Step on their throats and make em go away.

C's running in transition! That's what I like to see! I like JT being aggressive and going to the hoop drawing fouls. JT with the two handed JAM! Timeout Nets, C's must capitalize on this momentum now. The crowd is into it and now you must make your move. Time to land a few haymakers. Even though it's the third, this could be the game.

C's are down by five, need to score here. DWhite for three! JT with the jumper and the game is tied. C's down again.

🍀🍀🍀🍀

Well it all comes down to this. C's must now get down to business. Time to play Celtics basketball. Great defensive job by the C's to open up the fourth. Jrue with the rainbow floater to tie up the game. Jrue with a great pass to Queta for the deuce! When called upon Queta is always there.

Jrue is going to make some big plays here. Right now this team doesn't instill confidence in me. They have absolutely no flow offensively. Down by four and time is ticking away. The bench looks thin and small. Shots just aren't falling tonight.

Al finally gets a three and now we need to play D. DWhite with a A huge block! C's had excellent ball movement and Sam misses the wide open three. JT with the jam on transition! C's down by one... Jrue with the lefty layup! C's by one!

Sam for three! Then a garbage call by the refs send the nets to the line. Tie ball game. We have a minute to go all tied up. We are thirty three seconds still tied up. Huge dunk by JT! We have 7.6 seconds left and C's have the ball. Time to win this damn game.

🍀☘️🏀☘️🍀

Jrue opens us up with a deuce down low! Great pass by JT! PP with a HUGE FALL AWAY! CASH MONEY! The C's need to bring everything they have to each possession. PP to the line and the C's can grab the lead. After he hits both I need to see some championship level D put there.

JT finds Al for three! What court vision right there by JT! JT with the Jordan like fall away right there! C's need a stop here. And they force the Nets into a terrible shot. C's pull out a tough one tonight. Good sign given they just lost a tough one on Wednesday.

In defense of Marcus Smart

Let me make it clear first of all that I am totally against making a threat of any kind that even hints at harming, or certainly killing, another human being. Marcus Smart was wrong in doing so in the Celtics loss to the tanking Oklahoma City Thunder , and he deserved the one-game suspension. But to be honest, part of me loved that it occurred. . This type of thing can happen when a player gets to a point "beyond frustration" and is having a bad game. Marcus and his teammates have been under-performing generally - were in the process of losing to a pathetic-and-tanking Thunder team - and Smart was having a bad game . And he let loose verbally at the closest target - an NBA official. Wilt Chamberlain did a similar act versus referee, Earl Strom when Wilt was having his usual tortuous time at the free throw line (per Chicago Tribune's Sam Smith): ''He was in one of those 1-for-13s,'' recalls referee Earl Strom. ''Nothing was getting close. S...

Did the Celtics Kevin McHale really have a wingspan of 8-feet?
