Sunday in the Garden

 🏀

C's are short handed again, no KP or Jrue tonight. I hope the C's can match what they did on Friday night to these Pacers. I expect the C's to give their absolute best tonight. Slow start for the C's as both Jays miss their first shots. Sam starts us off with a three, that's a huge start for him. He's been off lately and maybe tonight's the night he goes off.

Great job by JB getting into the paint and scoring. The C's need to live in there tonight. Indiana wants no part of the C's in the paint. Joe with the early timeout as the C's aren't looking good. Way too many missed threes and the defense isn't where it should be. Indiana is getting what they want out there. That's unacceptable! Get on em Joe and let's play Celtics basketball.

Time for a nice Celtics run in this first quarter. DWhite hits the three off his quick release. Going to need plenty of those tonight. A very disappointing start overall. C's need a spark. That spark is Jaylen Brown folks! C's cut into the Pacers lead and Carlisle calls a timeout.

For any Pats fans out there, we now own the number one pick in the draft. All we need to do is lose to the Bills on Sunday to make it official. Dear Bob Kraft it's time to fire Mayo and Wolf. Mike Vrabel is out there so bring him in! We know he can coach. He brought a team into Gillette and beat Brady and Belichick.

Sam I am with another three ball! Glad to see his shot has returned. Pritch gets a three and we have the lead! I'm loving what I'm seeing from Brown, finding his teammates where they like to shoot. If Sam and PP are on their game it's going to be a long night for the Pacers. Why did I chose that C's picture for tonight game you ask? Because it's always a good time to see the Big Three and remember the glory days of the eighties.

JB with the steal and gets to the line. JB is playing elite on both ends of the floor tonight. I love the basketball player JB has become. JB with another elite find as PP nails the three. JB with the three over Siakim. In yo FACE! C's with the lead.

🏀🏀

JT needs to get himself going here in the second. He's been very cold on offense the past two games. For as good as he is, I expect him to get it going. Hopefully he can match Browns output from the first. Joe needs to get him in some pick and rolls. I would love to see him post up and dominate in the paint. Right on cue he gets inside and is going to the line.

I'm starting to worry a bit about the games both KP and Jrue are missing. Their presence in the lineup is important to the C's success. Especially given the lack of scoring off the bench when a guy like Hauser has to start. Joe needs to start playing X more and see what he has to offer.

Great pass by JT as he finds PP who scores with the mid range. It's nice seeing Queta get some run tonight. So many reviews in today's game and it's just enough. Takes the flow away from the game. C's need to start to D up and make some stops. They are allowing the Pacers to have too much life out here.

These refs are starting to annoy me. PP hits the huge three! He's been playing extremely well tonight. C's overall are playing some disappointing basketball. Trailing at the half.

🏀🏀🏀

I'd call the first half a disappointment. Especially defensively, which is what the C's did well on Friday. In this third we need to come out and lock em down. Sam Cassell reiterates what I just wrote. We need to be better on defense! We need some stops right now.

DWhite looks solid on offense tonight. His shot looks good and he is cutting hard to the basket. Great steal by JT as he stole Siakims lunch. Great players make great plays when needed. On back to back possessions JB gets two And Ones. He's killing it in the paint tonight. Both White and JB are doing their best to get us out of this hole tonight.

C's trail by five and really need a few stops in this game. C's just can't catch a break. They finally get a stop and DWhites three bounces out. That's unreal. Sam gets the luck of the Irish with that bounce. JT with a huge block on Turner which results in a DWhite layup. C's still trail and I'm not feeling very confident in them winning tonight. The defense is lacking and not getting enough stops.

C's just don't have it tonight. No effort on defense at all. The only good thing going on now is JT is starting to heat up. C's trail and my frustration is boiling over.

🏀🏀🏀🏀

Great D by JB on that possession, that's what I love to see. JB ends up on the floor and is down. Now he's up and let's hope that sets him a blaze. The Jays need to take over the game and will this team to a victory.

This game has been unfairly officiated. Pacers are getting every call, and the C's get nothing. NBA refs suck! With Als three from the corner he passes Larry Bird on the Celtics all time list. That's saying something on multiple levels. Larry Joe Bird is an all time Celtic and Al has carried on that Celtic Pride.

C's are playing with some force right now. And now they aren't and this game is over. Everytime they lose to me it's the worst one. They aren't taking the regular season seriously. I'm beyond disgusted with this loss.

In defense of Marcus Smart

Let me make it clear first of all that I am totally against making a threat of any kind that even hints at harming, or certainly killing, another human being. Marcus Smart was wrong in doing so in the Celtics loss to the tanking Oklahoma City Thunder , and he deserved the one-game suspension. But to be honest, part of me loved that it occurred. . This type of thing can happen when a player gets to a point "beyond frustration" and is having a bad game. Marcus and his teammates have been under-performing generally - were in the process of losing to a pathetic-and-tanking Thunder team - and Smart was having a bad game . And he let loose verbally at the closest target - an NBA official. Wilt Chamberlain did a similar act versus referee, Earl Strom when Wilt was having his usual tortuous time at the free throw line (per Chicago Tribune's Sam Smith): ''He was in one of those 1-for-13s,'' recalls referee Earl Strom. ''Nothing was getting close. S...

Did the Celtics Kevin McHale really have a wingspan of 8-feet?

According to many sources, the Celtics Kevin McHale did indeed have an estimated wingspan of 8-feet.
