C's look to tame the Wolves

🏀

C's are short handed yet again. No JB or KP. That means expect JT to do a lot tonight on both ends. We are going to need to see Derrick and Jrue do their thing tonight. Question is who is going to guard Edwards? He's been know to go off vs the C's.

The Wolves win the tip, C's better be ready! Right off the bat the Wolves get a phantom call. C's are cold to start, give the rock to JT! Let's attack the paint! Another phantom call as JT gets whistled for "fouling" Ant Man.

The Celtics D stinks so far. Hopefully they don't get blown out. I'd say it might be time to get PP in the game. We need a spark and he always brings it. I wonder what's being said by Joe here. I'm sure he's unimpressed with this garbage effort on D.

The schedule makers really stuck it to the C's over these next four games. C's need to get busy on the glass. Way too many chances for the Wolves. Ever since that timeout the C's look better. Yet still trail...

🍀🍀

C's will really need to buckle down on D here. They must establish that they are the better team. C's most definitely need bench help. Brad go find us someone! Lonnie Walker is available! I feel having him off the bench will be a huge addition.

JB is here at the game and he looks upset not being out here. What a pass from JT to Luke for the hoop! C's are shooting way too many threes for my liking tonight. C's just can't make any head way. Wake up guys and let's get Celtics basketball going.

Huge rebound by Queta which leads to a Hauser three! Sam with another one! Sam is looking good folks! It's nice to see him get his stroke going! He's finally healthy and it shows. C's are playing very efficiently on offense right now. Sam is locked and loaded as he hits another three. Sam can be a huge weapon for the C's going forward.

I'd love for the C's to lock down the Wolves here. Keep pushing and go on a nice run. Put some distance between themselves and the Wolves. So far Joe has a good feel for the game with his substitution patterns. Queta has been a breath of fresh air tonight. Queta is out here earning Tommy points.

PP has brought it tonight, hitting threes and middies. I love everything about his game. Kid is nails! He's a dawg out here! Joe is wearing his cross yet again on his shirt. No other Coach does that and I love it. He's proud to show his faith! JT is starting to cook right now. He is making Gobert look foolish out there.

C's D has been much better as the game has progressed. Queta just put Gobert in the washer and scores! Queta with the OOP from Jrue! Loving what Queta has brought tonight. C's lead at the half.

☘️☘️☘️

C's defense and ball movement are huge keys to them winning. If they can duplicate that here in the third we have a good shot at pulling this out. It's a quick turnaround as we head to Houston tomorrow night. That's a miserable back to back of you ask me. Sunday afternoon we are in OKC to face the best in the West. The end of this brutal road trip ends with Denver. Where's this kind of gauntlet for the Cavs?

Every time I see Sam Cassell it reminds me of great memories. Jrue Holiday has been looking spry lately. C's have taken Edwards out of this game. His offense has been non existent. C's force the Wolves into a shot clock violation. This is championship level defense tonight.

C's are allowing the Wolves back into this game. Time for JT to lead by example out there and get his offense going. He had some awesome moments in the second and needs those now! Maybe Joe can get him in some pick and rolls here, or let him run point for a few sets. Get him the rock and let him cook!

Al's shot has been off and continues to be so tonight. He's still one of my guys, but he needs to get back on track. I'm loving the ability by the C's to get in the glass tonight, on both the offensive and defensive glass. JT crosses up Gobert and rips home a huge dunk! We have a timeout on the floor we can all admire that Tatum jam.

Kudos to JT here in this third, he's played like a true champion. What happens when you are short handed, you let your star ball out! Where has AnT Man been? Too many sprite commercials?! C's have made him look pedestrian. Shout out to Walsh stealing Randles cookies. Randle is how do you say OVERATED! C's lead after the third.

🏀🏀🏀🏀

The free throw discrepancy has been awful tonight. C's are looking lost right now without JT. Need Derrick and Jrue to take over. Derrick White draws the charge! The Man is Money! Follows it up with the tear drop And One! Derrick always makes game winning plays.

We have a tied game... PP earns us another possession. Tommy point baby! DWhite is continuing to come up huge here in the fourth. These refs are all for giving the Wolves the calls. It's a travesty! JT enters the game and nails the three! He's going to have to carry us home in this one. It would a great start to the road trip if they can pull this one out.

Queta with the jam off the excellent pass from JT. That's beautiful basketball right there. Sometimes it's the simplest plays that you just look at and say wow! I love how Celtics fans travel no matter what! We are EVERYWHERE! Al with his first five points and they are all huge! Welcome back Al! DWhite for three! Humongous shot! DWhite GOES GLASS! THE BANK IS OPEN! C's Win!

Celtic Pride! Bleed Green! C Us Rise! Nineteen in Green!

In defense of Marcus Smart

Let me make it clear first of all that I am totally against making a threat of any kind that even hints at harming, or certainly killing, another human being. Marcus Smart was wrong in doing so in the Celtics loss to the tanking Oklahoma City Thunder , and he deserved the one-game suspension. But to be honest, part of me loved that it occurred. . This type of thing can happen when a player gets to a point "beyond frustration" and is having a bad game. Marcus and his teammates have been under-performing generally - were in the process of losing to a pathetic-and-tanking Thunder team - and Smart was having a bad game . And he let loose verbally at the closest target - an NBA official. Wilt Chamberlain did a similar act versus referee, Earl Strom when Wilt was having his usual tortuous time at the free throw line (per Chicago Tribune's Sam Smith): ''He was in one of those 1-for-13s,'' recalls referee Earl Strom. ''Nothing was getting close. S...

Did the Celtics Kevin McHale really have a wingspan of 8-feet?
