Back at it in Philly

 🏀

Well we are back from the All Star break and it's time to ball out. C's are wearing the traditional white uniforms with the green trim. JB opens it up with a lefty layup. He should be able to do what he wants in the paint. Both KP and Jrue have also scored in the paint. C's hit their first three thanks to DWhite and his sweet stroke. Early on the C's are attacking Maxey in the paint that young fella can't play D to save his life. JB will be able to smoke him all game!

C's defense isn't where it should be right now. JT is on the board as he scores with a lefty off the glass. All five Celtics have scored tonight. C's are a bit rusty coming off the break. Hopefully they can shake off the dust and blow this Sixer team off the floor. Anyone else find the All Star game to be a waste of time... It's never going to have the cache and magic it did when I was growing up. NBA needs to look at the NHLs template of the four nations. Go with a all world team vs the United States.

I love seeing Joe wear his cross on his Celtics apparel. C's are gonna need to tighten the screws here in the first on D. Nice seeing Jrue come off the rub and nailing the three. KP for three off the great pass from JB! That two man game they run is elite. Cookies and Cream! PP for three! Sixth Man of the year right there. PP for three again! He's an assassin! Al gets the rock off the pass from PP and he scores a three! JT gets his three ball in too! C's are en Fuego right now. C's lead after the first.

🏀🏀

PP nails another dagger from deep! He looks locked in tonight. PP again for three! C's are pushing the pace which leads to a Kornet Jam! PP with another three! Kornet with the sledge hammer JAM! Luke has been a dunking machine tonight! I tell you this Luke knows where to be on the floor. He's a smart player who uses his size well. JT has found him twice tonight and I love when Tatum is initializing the offense.

Luke with the BLOCK! Luke with the rebound, he's everywhere! Luke has played very well early on and gives KP the opportunity to rest. Embid is such a flopper, and a big freaking baby. I'm tired of watching his antics. I wish someone would really give him a good foul and make him feel it. He flops into Holiday and gets the call. What a damn joke! JT for three over the flopper. Sixers are getting all the calls right now.

Anyone else excited for the USA Canada rematch? Hoping the USA can put them in their place as they did last game. Start throwing some punches early and score often. C's must finish these last two minutes with authority. They can't allow this garbage Sixers team any momentum going into the half. The Jays are doing their best to hold this lead to ten plus. Al with the dagger! JT to KP for three! C's have pushed the lead to sixteen. That's what we needed! As Joe says finishing quarters are what determines wins!

🏀🏀🏀

If the C's come out here and lock the Sixers down they can blow the doors off em. I want to see the C's play with pace and continue to move the rock. Tatum has been an assist machine! Each and every player that has stepped on the floor has made an impact for the C's. I would like to see some more Torrey Craig tonight. Let him give the Jays a spell and see what he can do out there.

The way JT has been playing leading up to the break and now tonight is MVP type basketball. C's open the third on D and force a turbrnover! JB with the first basket of the third. Another awful call... Embid gets yet another call it's BOGUS! Tommy is turning over in his grave! JT to JB for the LOUD TWO HANDED JAM! C's are locked in on D right now! I love it!

The lead is up to twenty, can we make thirty?! JB with the three! Nice move by JT forcing the foul on Grimes. Grimes can't hang with Tatum. Defensive stopper my rump. C's look like they should run away with this one. KP gets the rock on the fast break and dunks it home. The boo birds are out here in Philly. As they should be! This Sixer team sucks! All that talent and such a horrendous record.

The way NBA players flop everytime they get hit is laughable. These are grown men who go down like nothing! Man up! Soft as charmin Sixers! The rest of the league too! Thanks Leflop! The C's are one of the teams who actually earn their fouls and you rarely see them flop. Actually you don't! C's are smoking the Sixers. This is how you come off the break and light up a conference opponent. C's by a mile!

🏀🏀🏀🏀

I am very proud of how the C's came out tonight. They definitely didn't play to the level of their opponent tonight. They played like they are the defending champs of the league. C's will link up with the Knicks on Sunday and I want another twenty seven point win. Overrated Brunson and Towns can kick rocks.

C's are pushing this lead to about thirty right now. Kudos to JT for the triple double tonight! C's must finish the game efficiently. I don't want to see sloppy play here... C's with the win!

C Us Rise! Bleed Green! Celtic Pride!

In defense of Marcus Smart

Let me make it clear first of all that I am totally against making a threat of any kind that even hints at harming, or certainly killing, another human being. Marcus Smart was wrong in doing so in the Celtics loss to the tanking Oklahoma City Thunder , and he deserved the one-game suspension. But to be honest, part of me loved that it occurred. . This type of thing can happen when a player gets to a point "beyond frustration" and is having a bad game. Marcus and his teammates have been under-performing generally - were in the process of losing to a pathetic-and-tanking Thunder team - and Smart was having a bad game . And he let loose verbally at the closest target - an NBA official. Wilt Chamberlain did a similar act versus referee, Earl Strom when Wilt was having his usual tortuous time at the free throw line (per Chicago Tribune's Sam Smith): ''He was in one of those 1-for-13s,'' recalls referee Earl Strom. ''Nothing was getting close. S...
