Bite of the Big Apple

 ☘️

Is there a more overrated franchise in any sport? Yes I'm talking about the Knicks. The NBA is so starved to keep them relevant and it's sickening. Brunson is the most infuriating player to watch. He flops into the defenders all the time. I honestly can't believe he's an all star. I need whoever is guarding him to make him look like the jag he is.

JT just up and climbed the ladder for a two handed jam to bring down the hammer! JT follows up that dunk with a pure three. Luke Kornet has been a wall in the paint. I can't get over that Tatum dunk it should be on a poster. JB joins the scoring with a sweet jumper. JB sees the floor well and finds Al for three! So far the Jays are showing up in the big apple.

I'm enjoying watching Luke defend the paint like he owns it. He's been such an asset this season and he's balling on defense tonight. Hopefully he can continue to make an impact on tonight's game. It's snowy evening in NY and is coming towards Mass very soon. It's gonna be a wintry Superbowl Sunday. C's must continue to be a strong defensive team in tonight's game.

C's ball movement has been pretty good early on. Some bogus calls in favor of that flopper for the Knicks. His game is a joke! Tomorrow afternoon will be the final broadcast for the Great Hubie Brown. What a career! C's are out hustling the Knicks on both ends of the floor right now. I love JBs aggressive nature on D right now. He deserves to make an All NBA Defensive team this season.

JB is cooking the flopper on the defensive end. He's dogging him up and down the floor. Queta with a huge offensive board! Love that guy! C's lead after one. Refs suck by the way...

🍀🍀

PP is starting to heat up here in the second. He likes the big stage here in New York. He's cooking the Knicks like a Master chef on food network. I love the way PP plays the game. He's the most confident young man and he should be. There's no one the Knicks have who can guard him. Actually for this being a Tibs defense it's not very good.

C's have been very efficient on offense tonight. Despite being shorthanded. Everyone who has played is stepping up. Especially the bigs, both Queta and Kornet have been very good! I'm disgusted with these refs tonight. They allow that flopper to get more calls than Michael Jordan did in his prime. MJ actually earned his calls. Freaking joke!

Finally a call for the C's! A moving screen which it was! Refs are keeping the Knicks in the game. Al with the excellent look to JB for the JAM! That was some beautiful basketball right there! I love when they attack the paint, that's when basketball is at its peak. So far this first half has been good from the Celtics stand point. Defensively they have been pretty good and offensively they are for the most part cooking. C's lead at the half.

☘️☘️☘️

Explain to me how the flopper has eleven free throws in the first half. It's disgusting that this is allowed by the NBA. I am not surprised though, we are dealing with refs who are used to fixing games. It may not be blatant, but when you give away free points to a lesser team to keep em in the game it's a joke. Not sure why the NBA wants the Knicks so relative. They are a bum franchise who has what two rings? They will never have the cache or history the Celtics have. How about all those years Jordan and the Bulls took em out in the playoffs. To me that was a thing of beauty. How about the year the Rockets beat them in the Finals... Or when the Spurs beat them in the Finals. All things of basketball beauty. For the franchise that doesn't deserve the pomp and circumstance it gets. This current roster is nothing more than a get out of the first round and lose.

Great first offensive set as DWhite hits the three. JT just carved up the D and Jams it home! Knicks can't contend with the Jays tonight. I'm really disgusted by the calls already here in the third. This is why people don't watch the NBA. C's have gotten no calls here in the third. Knicks are leading in that department. B O G U S!

C's are treading water right now and need to settle. Great job by the C's as they have taken my words to heart. Qeuta with the incredible block on kat who is a big baby. This entire Knicks team complains on every freaking call. Just shut up and play the game. It's not the Celtics fault you guys aren't that good. Watching this game is beyond frustrating given such poor reffing tonight.

It's so nice having DWhite back! What I mean by that is his shot over these past few games has been elite. He's back to the guy we all know and love. I do miss his running mate in Jrue Holiday though. Those two make up the best defensive backcourt in basketball. DWhite again for three! Damn is all I have say after that JT three! OMG! That was some nifty handles and a heck of a shot! Let's Go! After the refs and Knicks made a run the C's put the hammer on em. The lead is up to nineteen, I hoping it's twenty five by the end of the quarter. C's lead after three.

🍀🍀🍀🍀

We have twelve minutes to put the Knicks in their place which is no where near us. As disappointed as I was with the loss vs the Mavs, winning this one and already beating the Cavs gives me comfort. Despite their ups and downs this year they have shown they are the team to beat in the East. They own the Cavs, Knicks, Bucks and everyone else in the East.

I personally was proud of the defense JB played on the flopper tonight. The two headed monster of Queta and Kornet was also incredible on D. I missed KP but this two showed up! I can't forget to mention Al tonight doing all the little things that add up and matter in the end. Time for the C's to land the final knockout blows right now!

I love the way Luke moves and cuts to the hoop. He's old school! I love him! Guys like Luke are hard to find in today's NBA. PP is cooking again! Putting on a show for these Knick fans, showing em what a real basketball player looks like! This has to be a punch in the gut for the Knicks especially given the C's are down KP and Jrue. It just shows how good the C's are and how far away the Knicks are from even sniffing a title. I hope all the celebrities enjoyed watching a real basketball team tonight. I saw Denzel in the audience and he is one of my favorite actors of all time! The man is a legend.

     C's roll the Knicks tonight!

C Us Rise! Bleed Green! Celtic Pride!

In defense of Marcus Smart

Let me make it clear first of all that I am totally against making a threat of any kind that even hints at harming, or certainly killing, another human being. Marcus Smart was wrong in doing so in the Celtics loss to the tanking Oklahoma City Thunder , and he deserved the one-game suspension. But to be honest, part of me loved that it occurred. . This type of thing can happen when a player gets to a point "beyond frustration" and is having a bad game. Marcus and his teammates have been under-performing generally - were in the process of losing to a pathetic-and-tanking Thunder team - and Smart was having a bad game . And he let loose verbally at the closest target - an NBA official. Wilt Chamberlain did a similar act versus referee, Earl Strom when Wilt was having his usual tortuous time at the free throw line (per Chicago Tribune's Sam Smith): ''He was in one of those 1-for-13s,'' recalls referee Earl Strom. ''Nothing was getting close. S...

Did the Celtics Kevin McHale really have a wingspan of 8-feet?

According to many sources, the Celtics Kevin McHale did indeed have an estimated wingspan of 8-feet. One of those sources is Wikipedia, as seen below: Kevin McHale American basketball player DescriptionKevin Edward McHale is an American retired basketball player who played his entire professional career for the Boston Celtics. He is a Basketball Hall of Fame inductee, and is regarded as one of the best power forwards of all time. He was named to the NBA's 50th Anniversary All-Time Team.
