C's look to Spur San Antonio

☘️

C's welcome the future of the NBA in Wemby to the Garden. No Brown or Holiday tonight. Let's hope the C's finish this first half of the regular season on a high note. I fully expect another Tatum thirty piece tonight. I've always found the Spurs uniform to be very sleek. My cousin has a David Robinson jersey growing up. Tonight's uniform kinda sucks!

I'm hoping we get to see Torrey Craig tonight. There's a dawg in that man and I expect to see it. C's must come out and put on a show tonight. JT hits his first shot out of the gate! I love the way JT has been playing lately! MVP type basketball from my perspective. JT sees the floor so well. That pass to Al was crisp! Al finds JT for three! That's Love between these two teammates! Timeout Spurs, I like what I'm seeing tonight.

Gotta say thanks to the Spurs for trading us Derrick White. JT with the one handed JAM! MVP! Back to back threes from Derrick White! Thanks again San Antonio! Torrey Craig is in the game! C's are starting to roll early tonight as they are up by eleven. Tatum is gonna go on a heater tonight. If the C's can sustain this pace they are going to come away with a win.

🍀🍀

How about that first quarter for the C's! They didn't do anything that gave me concern. They were firing on all cylinders on offense and defensively they were right where they needed to be. They must keep this pace up if they want this W. PP is having an off night so far. I expect him to bounce back, he's had a heck of a year.

C's are rolling! It's a twenty three point lead! Tonight feels like it could be a Geno kinda night. It's been a while since we saw Geno on the Garden jumbo Tron. Although our home record to this point isn't very good, I expect after the break for it to be much better. I believe we will find this team to be locked in and ready to roll.

Wemby is quite the physical specimen, given his length. He's so long and very athletic. The sky is the limit for this young man. Yet another big that the Spurs organization can cultivate. First it was David Robinson followed by Tim Duncan and now Victor. Talk about three generational players.

Anyone else see that trailer on Max about the Celtics?! I did and it gave me chills! The Celtics have so much history and it's a thing of beauty. I wish it was March 3rd already. I truly feel it's going to be worth the wait. It should be a reminder to the rest of the league that we are the preeminent franchise of the NBA. Actually the most important franchise in all of sports. Torrey Craig hits his first shot as a Celtic! C's lead at the half.

☘️☘️☘️

Pretty solid half for the Celtics in the first half. Tatum, Porzingis and White were the catalysts on offense. It was really great seeing Torrey Craig hits a few shots in his debut. I like his fit with this team. I was really impressed with how the C's moved the rock on offense. Overall they have been playing more like themselves. The only outlier was that loss to the Mavs. Finish this one off tonight and you get to go into the break feeling good.

Jayson Tatum should be in the conversation for MVP. Yet the league is anti Celtic. The guys ahead of him are good but he's better. I believe that him not winning MVP will motivate him during the post season even more. Not only will he be looking for back to back titles, but he will want to prove he's an MVP. A future conference and Finals MVP incoming.

C's have tired out Wemby already here in the third. He looks gassed and out of breath. Despite all of that the Spurs are right in this game. The lead is down to ten. KP rips a three and that was huge! I love our bigs! Al, KP, Luke and Queta. Luke always makes impact plays whenever he's on the floor. JT has had himself yet again another MVP type game. C's lead after three.

🍀🍀🍀🍀

KP and PP hitting some big shots here in the fourth. Gotta love PP not giving up after that poor first half. He's been back on track here in the second half. I love how the C's are running in transition. A nice eight nothing run to help build up this lead. This Spurs team is going to be a problem in the future.

This Celtics ball movement has been elite. It ends in free throws but man do I love them being unselfish. Another excellent clinic on passing ends in a Sam three! When this team plays like this they are hard to beat. Kudos to the C's for finishing this first half of the year with a win. Celtics Win!

Celtic Pride! C Us Rise! Bleed Green!

In defense of Marcus Smart

Let me make it clear first of all that I am totally against making a threat of any kind that even hints at harming, or certainly killing, another human being. Marcus Smart was wrong in doing so in the Celtics loss to the tanking Oklahoma City Thunder , and he deserved the one-game suspension. But to be honest, part of me loved that it occurred. . This type of thing can happen when a player gets to a point "beyond frustration" and is having a bad game. Marcus and his teammates have been under-performing generally - were in the process of losing to a pathetic-and-tanking Thunder team - and Smart was having a bad game . And he let loose verbally at the closest target - an NBA official. Wilt Chamberlain did a similar act versus referee, Earl Strom when Wilt was having his usual tortuous time at the free throw line (per Chicago Tribune's Sam Smith): ''He was in one of those 1-for-13s,'' recalls referee Earl Strom. ''Nothing was getting close. S...

Did the Celtics Kevin McHale really have a wingspan of 8-feet?
