Motoring into Detroit

 ☘️

C's come into Detroit on a nice win streak. The Pistons themselves are on a decent win streak. Something is about to give and we will find out next. There will be no JB or Luke tonight. Everyone else is available to play. C's are currently 3-0 vs the Pistons, let's hope they make it four. I expect a big game from PP off the bench. C's have their double big lineup tonight.

Not a very inspiring start tonight. C's are cold on the second night of a back to back. Al makes a great defensive play and they call a foul. These refs suck! JT finally gets the C's on the board. Way too many missed shots tonight. There seems to be no gas in the tank right now. C's will have to muster up some strength from within.

Jrue Holiday puts Cade in the wash cycle and scores inside. So good to have him back tonight. C's trail by six early, as we have a timeout. The way Jrue is able to use his body in the paint is impressive. He uses his strength as a weapon. His true gift is defensively, I would want him to make a game winning stop ten out of ten times. The guy is a true defensive stud.

JT has developed his offensive game into a jack off all trades. He can do just about anything and everything to get the ball in the hoop. What's clearly unheralded is his ability to pass the rock. His court vision is second to none. He also rebounds the ball incredibly well. Right now he's heating up! These Pistons better be careful. They forget this man is an MVP caliber player.

🍀🍀

That first quarter was a sham from my perspective. C's barely received any calls whatsoever. Yet the Pistons made it to the line over ten times. Where is the fairness in these lopsided games? Is it because the league wants Detroit relative? Just like they want the Fakers relative with Luka? Joe calls a much needed timeout as the C's aren't doing very much on D.

Tonight has all the markings of a loss. Pistons are rested and the C's are on a back to back. These regular season games take on less and less meaning with the length of the schedule. At this point the Cavs have the number one seed, C's need to stay healthy and lock into the second. Shots just aren't falling right now, and the C's are a step slow.

C's have time to make a run but will they I honestly don't know. It would be ideal if they can cut this lead down before the half. It's gonna take effort on D, which as we know wins games. KP is getting mauled tonight and the whistles have disappeared. It's amazing how the C's don't get the benefit of calls. Yet that's been going on my entire life as a Celtics fan. C's are making a nice run as the Pistons lead is down to five. C's are lighting it up from three point land.

The game is tied! C's have believed in themselves and made this a game. We are at the half and we are all tied. Should be an exciting second half.

☘️☘️☘️

For as much as I don't like the three point shot, it certainly brought the C's back in they second quarter. C's will need to come out here in this third and land some punches. I feel they may have absorbed the Pistons best punch in the first half. Which could be a good sign for the C's in possibly stealing a victory tonight. Hopefully they can play a good half of basketball and bring it home.

The key for the C's here is to shut down Cunningham and make the other guys beat you. I'm not very impressed with this Pistons team. I'm sorry but it's the truth. They have some decent pieces but they aren't going anywhere this year. They will make the playoffs but lose in the first round. The only Pistons team I could honestly tolerate was that team in the 2000s that beat the Lakers. With that said I love the Michigan Wolverines in football and basketball.

Not an ideal start to the third, as the C's trail yet again. Not enough movement on offense right now. Defensively there are some lapses as well. They are still in striking distance but it's gonna take work on both ends. Not sure if the C's have enough tonight, to get the win. They are getting killed in the paint. I'm still disgusted with the free throw disparity. I honestly hate back to backs. You don't get the best from both teams.

🍀🍀🍀🍀

C's have two of their tougher games waiting at home for them. Friday vs the Cavs which I expect they will win. Sunday it's Joker and the Nuggets and he always gives us issues. I still expect the win. This game here has gotten out of hand and I am ready to call it a night. It's unfortunate because the C's have been playing better basketball. See you on Friday.

In defense of Marcus Smart

Let me make it clear first of all that I am totally against making a threat of any kind that even hints at harming, or certainly killing, another human being. Marcus Smart was wrong in doing so in the Celtics loss to the tanking Oklahoma City Thunder , and he deserved the one-game suspension. But to be honest, part of me loved that it occurred. . This type of thing can happen when a player gets to a point "beyond frustration" and is having a bad game. Marcus and his teammates have been under-performing generally - were in the process of losing to a pathetic-and-tanking Thunder team - and Smart was having a bad game . And he let loose verbally at the closest target - an NBA official. Wilt Chamberlain did a similar act versus referee, Earl Strom when Wilt was having his usual tortuous time at the free throw line (per Chicago Tribune's Sam Smith): ''He was in one of those 1-for-13s,'' recalls referee Earl Strom. ''Nothing was getting close. S...

Did the Celtics Kevin McHale really have a wingspan of 8-feet?

According to many sources, the Celtics Kevin McHale did indeed have an estimated wingspan of 8-feet. One of those sources is Wikipedia, as seen below: Kevin McHale American basketball player DescriptionKevin Edward McHale is an American retired basketball player who played his entire professional career for the Boston Celtics.
