 🍀      Cs will face the Grizz shorthanded yet again. There will be no JB or Luke tonight. It will have to be the next man up motto tonight. We do however get Al and PP back tonight. Let's hope we can get some payback for the game in Boston earlier this season. Cs give up the first basket of the game. Look at X getting the start tonight! Hoping he has a solid game.        Cs offense has been a bit anemic here, right until KP drilled that three. That is his shot and it can't be stopped. It's so pretty to watch when it swishes through the net. The defenders really have opportunity to affect that shot. Oh boy... Tony Brothers is doing tonight's game.  🍀       Cs look to continue their road dominance. This time against Derrick Whites former team the San Antonio Spurs. When watching the Spurs one can't wonder what if Tim Duncan ended up in Boston. That draft lottery was the most brutal of all lotteries. Cs should have gotten the first pick. They actually should have ended up with one and three. Yet they ended up with three and six. Instead of getting Duncan and possibly another high quality player. They ended up taking Chauncey Billups a Hall of Fame caliber player, and Ron Mercer who had a heck of a college career. Still no Duncan set the franchise back. It did however give the Spurs multiple titles and a spot as a top NBA Franchise. Imagine if they had taken Duncan and McGrady?!  Most of the talk surrounding the Boston Celtics lately has been about the cost of once-again being in the "second apron" and the strong possibility that Kristaps Porzingis or Jrue Holiday may be traded this off-season.  I have written previously about Porzingis being a luxury for Joe Mazzulla. The team is potent without him on the floor - but often omnipotent with him. Although Boston has a better record with him on the sidelines than they do when he is active. Kristaps' injury history is certainly a detriment to any trade ideas Brad Stevens may have. Jrue Holiday if 34 years old, and his offense has been a bit of a concern this season. If he ends up being the casualty this summer, can Payton Pritchard take over the starting gig next to Derrick White ? The stats from this season say "Yes" .  The good news is that Celtics superstar, Jayson Tatum, seems to have avoided a serious injury in last night's win over the Sacramento Kings. Tatum landed on the foot of the King's Domantas Sabonis after masking a 3-pointer and rolled his right ankle. It was reported that Jayson left the arena with no crutches or boot, and walked with a slight limp. Sabonis was called for a Flagrant-1 foul on the play. Fans can expect that Tatum will be given ample time to recover in time for post-season play.  🍀       Nice to see JB back on the floor, he brings a level of intensity second to none. JB gets himself on the board as he gets in the paint and scores. The way he I'd able to use his body is blunt force trauma to whoever gets in his way. Ever since he's been in the league he has improved at whatever short comings his game has. Cs look like a team coming off a back to back. Very sloppy play early on and it needs to be cleaned up.       Cs have been excellent on the road this season. Which bodes well since it they get to the ECF and Finals they will be on the road. It could set up winning those series at home in six games. To be honest I would not be surprised if the Cavs get upset in the playoffs. OKC I'm thinking should win the west unless a team like the Nuggets takes it to them. 🏀       The Celtics have been sold for a huge number to a group led by William Chisholm. The question is will he be able to keep this team together? Sadly I don't see it happening, or at least that's what I'm hearing. Cs have clinched a playoff spot and have won fifty games yet again. Not too shabby. He may be correct, but Boston's 6'4",  do-everything guard must be getting used to the tag. In high school, he was a 6-foot combo guard that did not get a ton of attention from colleges.  🏀      We have no JT, Al, or KP tonight. We need a big game from JB! Jrue gets us on the board tonight. It's so nice having him back out there. He made some key plays the other night vs the Fakers. Jrue nails the corner three off the excellent ball movement. Heck of a play from Jrue knocking the ball off of Kessler. Jrue is as cool as a glass of whiskey out there. The way Luke runs the floor and gets right to the cup is so fun to watch.        JB has perfected his pull up mid range. It's so effortless the way he gets into his shot. Every game he plays he shows you the growth he has made since he was drafted. He with JT are the best duo in the NBA. They have shown that in multiple games this year. I fully expect them both to go off on Wednesday vs the Thunder. I really hope the refs don't dictate tonight's outcome. If we look at overall talent the Celtics are the better team and I hope they prove it.   This is a close call . Who is the Greatest-of-All-Time for the Boston Celtics? You can't go wrong with either choice. Let's look at their career stats: Russ: 15.1PPG - 22.5 RPG - 4.3 APG - .440 FG - .561 FT - 11-time Champion - 5-time MVP Larry: 24.3 PPG - 10-0 RPG - 6.3 APG - .496 FG - .886 FT - 3-time Champion - 3-time MVP The numbers, of course, don't tell the whole story. Russell's 11 Title rings are amazing, and five MVPs is impressive. But Russ was not a volume scorer and almost never shot the ball from any distance (as partly evidenced by his 56% accuracy from the foul line . But Russ gets the nod on athleticism, rim protection and rebounding . And Bird was the better passer. Both stars were true team players and played to win. The NBA has seen few players with their level of fierce intensity.
