Cs are the Kings of the Road

 🍀

Nice to see JB back on the floor, he brings a level of intensity second to none. JB gets himself on the board as he gets in the paint and scores. The way he I'd able to use his body is blunt force trauma to whoever gets in his way. Ever since he's been in the league he has improved at whatever short comings his game has. Cs look like a team coming off a back to back. Very sloppy play early on and it needs to be cleaned up.

Cs have been excellent on the road this season. Which bodes well since it they get to the ECF and Finals they will be on the road. It could set up winning those series at home in six games. To be honest I would not be surprised if the Cavs get upset in the playoffs. OKC I'm thinking should win the west unless a team like the Nuggets takes it to them. I don't see any other western team beating them. Especially not those frauds in LA.

Cs owe this Kings team some payback, last time we met they whooped us. We also played very poorly. How great has Eddie House been on these broadcasts I absolutely love him! He was a darn good player for us, unlike Scal who road the bench. Eddie keeps it real and isn't afraid to be himself! Cs shots have been short so far tonight. Cs run in transition off the Jrue steal which leads to a KP one handed JAM! You must always reward the big fells when he runs.

Nice to see the Celtics new owner at the game. Hey Bill don't CHEAP OUT! Pay the taxes and win titles! Here in Boston it's all about CHAMPIONSHIPS! Man I love watching PP shoot. His form is pure and when it's on its perfection. Cs find themselves in a hole early on but I feel a comeback in the works. JT hits the three off of incredible ball movement. When these Celtics have great spacing they have to ability to pass the rock to whoever can get the best shot. When they are on like this, they can't be stopped. After a slow start the Cs grab the lead at the buzzer thanks to PP!

🍀🍀

Anyone else feel that Luke Kornet is an incredible player for this team?! He compliments and plays off of JT so well. They have a connection that's on another level! Watching them play together this season has been a joy and master class in how teammates should be. He's a definite throwback with more traditional big skills then today's modern player. He reminds me of a guy that Red would have found and drafted or traded for. The way he gets dirty this season has earned him plenty of Tommy points.

Cs don't get much respect from the refs and its a darn joke. Eddie always points out their unwillingness to give the Cs the proper whistle. So many times they deserve the And One and don't. I have always believed there is a Celtics bias and it shows. Unlike other teams aka the bubble Champs who get calls non stop. Look back in the history of games they should have lost yet the refs brought them back. Ask the Celtics, Kings and Blazers about that. I'm sure they can tell us!

For a smaller guy PP has quite the skill set in the paint. He uses his body in a way that gives him all the advantages. He's just so savvy with everything he does on the court. He has shown that he is the sixth man of the year. If he wanted to he could be a heck of a starter. Yet he takes his role and is the best at it. Which is why this kid is special. Most of this roster is quite special and has the opportunity to do something incredible. Win back to back titles.

The rook has been getting a lot of run lately and he is a guy who could play an important role on this roster in the future. Especially if we have to shed salary after the sale of the team. Some owners don't want to pay that tax but if it was me I would. Winning over everything! You can make up that money with winning Banners. Think of all the championship stuff everyone buys. Not to mention everyone wanting to see the team with titles on any given night. Build yourself an arena for basketball only and bring in the money!

I love when the Cs run in transition its awesome basketball to watch. It doesn't allow anyone to get back on D. You get the opportunity to score at ease. Tommy used to tell the Cs to run! I'm a big advocate for getting out on the break! Joe Mazzulla wins yet another challenge given how good this coaching staff is. Cs are getting the short end of the stick in the paint right now. That needs to be cleaned up as we go forward. Especially if we want to leave the W. What a steal by the rook who finds PP for the deuce! That pass was sweet like a piece of baklava! Cs with a lead at the half.

🍀🍀🍀

KP with a sweet block right there! For all the gifts he has on offense his defense is stout. The way he protects the rim is a throwback to the old days. He uses his length so well to get back into plays and send back the weak stuff. His health is key to winning again. Especially against some of these teams who have other bigs. Other than Jokic he is a top center in the league. I'd take him over anyone else who is out there. Cs offense is a bit sluggish in this quarter. Time to regroup and get to the cup.

KP drives and scores and that's what I'm talking about! You have to love seeing Joe help his player off the floor like that. Showing us he's the ultimate team guy, exactly how Celtics players and coaches should be. I truly feel that Joe is the guy who will become one of the great Celtics coaches of all time. His love for the game is second to none. I mean he gets it especially being a fan as we all are. Cs have pushed this lead to ten and the Kings call timeout.

I really love this roster, especially the starting five. They really have that it factor to them. Anyone of them can win you a basketball game. They each have shown how they were the best player on the floor at times. Each guy separately is special but when they come together it's beyond my writing can say. I want nothing more than back to back titles. I will settle for nothing less as a fan and writer for this team. I truly believe that they will not disappoint.

I feel we are owed a back to back title. How about those Celtics teams in the 80s who ran into injuries and even death. Those Garnett teams who had injuries or ran up against the refs. For such a storied franchise we have dealt with bad luck for sure. Finally we have a team that is built to win multiple titles and bring the Cs back to their former glory. This team, this organization is second to none! The Celtics are a global team that transcends sports. Most of my man cave is dedicated to the Celtics. Most of my clothes and hats are too!

Jayson Tatum has just gone down hard. It looks like his ankle. Sabonis closed out and has hurt him severely. He has not gotten up yet and my stomach is in my throat. I was just about to write how JT is becoming an all time great. If he can add multiple titles to his resume he's going to find himself with some of the Celtics Mount Rushmore. What's crazy is he isn't even thirty years old yet. He's putting up incredible numbers at such and early age. Plus he has a ring! I truly hope this injury is nothing major. He's had good health throughout his career. He's on the floor and is going to the line. Good sign. Cs lead after the third.

🍀🍀🍀🍀

Cs have a quarter left to close out this game. Unfortunately they won't have Jayson Tatum... Time for the rest of the team to step up and bring us home. Cs next game is Wednesday night vs the lowly Suns. If Tatum isn't ready let him rest. I feel a Brown led team can take it to the Suns. Now that Brown has his legs under him. If not let Derrick and Payton go for forty each again! I want to see how the Celtics approach these games from a defensive standpoint. Time to ramp up the D to the championship standard.

The Celtics bench has contributed really nicely tonight. Luke and PP have led the way on both ends of the floor. These are guys who will always be remembered in Boston! We love hard working talented players. Schierman aka the rook is becoming one of those guys. Kid is confident and can shoot the lights out. He also plays some intense defense. Cs are a bit flat on offense here but I believe they will get it going.

DWhite attacks the cup and gets to the line. Smart play especially given the slow start offensively for the team. KP gets a tech given the unfair advantage the refs are giving the Kings. A foul on one end with no call and then the Kings get a call. What a crock of horse dung! DWhite gets the rock on the other end and nails a three! Mr fourth quarter is ready to roll! I love him!

The rook saves the possession gets it to DWhite, who finds him and nails the three! I'm telling ya this dude has it, reminds of me PP. We have two confident, hard nosed sharp shooters in those two. Tommy points for the kid! Cs have about seven minutes to close this one out. We have no JB which could be due to his knew issues. Slowly getting him back into the flow. Letting the other guys cook to get us to a W!

Cs have pushed this lead to almost twenty! KP attacks the paint and we are rolling! Despite the garbage and unfair calls we are laying the smack down on the Kings! My favorite Kings players of all time include Danny Ainge and Chris Webber! This double big lineup with KP and Luke are dogs on the glass. Cs are winning the turnover battle which is always key in any sport. Cs take it to the Kings and send em home in defeat!

Celtic Pride! Bleed Green! C US Rise!

In defense of Marcus Smart

Let me make it clear first of all that I am totally against making a threat of any kind that even hints at harming, or certainly killing, another human being. Marcus Smart was wrong in doing so in the Celtics loss to the tanking Oklahoma City Thunder , and he deserved the one-game suspension. But to be honest, part of me loved that it occurred. . This type of thing can happen when a player gets to a point "beyond frustration" and is having a bad game. Marcus and his teammates have been under-performing generally - were in the process of losing to a pathetic-and-tanking Thunder team - and Smart was having a bad game . And he let loose verbally at the closest target - an NBA official. Wilt Chamberlain did a similar act versus referee, Earl Strom when Wilt was having his usual tortuous time at the free throw line (per Chicago Tribune's Sam Smith): ''He was in one of those 1-for-13s,'' recalls referee Earl Strom. ''Nothing was getting close. S...

Did the Celtics Kevin McHale really have a wingspan of 8-feet?

According to many sources, the Celtics Kevin McHale did indeed have an estimated wingspan of 8-feet.
