C's look to scorch the Nets

 ☘️

KP and JB are back! With that said Derrick and Al are out for tonight's game. Going to be a lot of games like this with certain guys being out. KP gets his first points in quite a while. C's are very slow to start. Let's get it going fellas. KP with the near steal on that one. He looks decent to start but there is definitely some rust. Mr Smooth aka Jrue looks good for us yet again.

JT just shreds the double team and goes glass to score. Next play he gets the pass and hits the fade away jumper. KP just rocked the rim! He's going to the line for the And One! Thankfully he looks healthy despite having that weird illness. He's really the key that unlocks this team to be unreal. With his health back to back is in sights.

C's gotta take it to this dumpster fire of a team. JT gets to the cup and scores easily. His quickness totally blazed thru the screen! He's going to have an incredible post season. PP is on the board from deep off that sweet pass from JT. PP just blitzed by the D and scores the layup. He's incredibly quick like lightning. The Celtics defense sucks right now. JT is cooking these double teams right now. At one point they had three guys on him.

🍀🍀

C's need to pick it up defensively, I get it's back to back. Did anyone see that Michigan Wolverine finish today?! It was incredible! I love college basketball this time of year. It's so exciting and fun to watch. It's crazy that these are just kids playing ball. I'm taken back to teams like the UNLV Running Rebels and the Michigan Fab Five! Those teams were so fun to watch. Locally we were lucky enough to have those UMass teams Coached by John Calipari. That 96 team should have won it all.

C's have been really good today at getting to the cup. They are hitting their threes but I love the fact they are attacking. Luke with a nice block right there! He's always where you need him to be! Such a smart player with a decent skill set. He's a guy you want to see stay with the C's for as long as he wants to. Loving how the C's are getting everyone involved. It's nice seeing JB back especially with his attacking nature on defense.

Jrue Holiday is up to eight assists already today. That shot off the glass was damn smooth right there. Smooth as a nice whiskey after a hard day. C's lose some of their lead as these Nets are grinding today. Crazy how badly Danny fleeced this organization all those years ago. We are enjoying the fruits of that trade with the Jays being absolutely incredible basketball players. C's lead at the half.

☘️☘️☘️

We are back from halftime, C's have twenty four minutes to win back to back games. C's points in the paint have been really good tonight. I love it! I am at total peace with the fact the NBA is sleeping on the Celtics come playoff time. All I hear about is the Cavs, Thunder, and Fakers. Beware of the sleeping giant and the heart of a champion.

C's D is giving up way too many easy looks to the Nets. We need to do a better job closing out. Great job by Sam as he allowed Jrue to get the offensive board. That's a Tommy point! The lead has evaporated as nothing is falling from deep. C's are starting to show some tired legs out there. JT finds Sam for three! That was a big shot!

JT calls glass on that three! Jrue from the top of the key hits the three! JT is putting on a master class on how to defeat double teams. PP with a pretty long to Luke for the JAM! The Moose is Loose! C's are elite when they pass the rock to the open man. That extra pass means so much! You gotta love it! JB has left the game with an injury.

🍀🍀🍀🍀

KP has looked damn good here in the fourth. Whatever rust he has is no more! He has twelve points in this fourth quarter alone. So so good having KP back. The unicorn is running free and loving every minute. PP sets the three point record off the bench! Kudos PP! We love ya! KP just put the Nets defense on a poster with that JAM!

Hopefully the C's are just being precautionary with JB. We need him at full strength in the playoffs. Overall tonight was a total team effort. Great to KP back and PP congrats on the record.

C Us Rise! Bleed Green! Celtic Pride!

In defense of Marcus Smart

Let me make it clear first of all that I am totally against making a threat of any kind that even hints at harming, or certainly killing, another human being. Marcus Smart was wrong in doing so in the Celtics loss to the tanking Oklahoma City Thunder , and he deserved the one-game suspension. But to be honest, part of me loved that it occurred. . This type of thing can happen when a player gets to a point "beyond frustration" and is having a bad game. Marcus and his teammates have been under-performing generally - were in the process of losing to a pathetic-and-tanking Thunder team - and Smart was having a bad game . And he let loose verbally at the closest target - an NBA official. Wilt Chamberlain did a similar act versus referee, Earl Strom when Wilt was having his usual tortuous time at the free throw line (per Chicago Tribune's Sam Smith): ''He was in one of those 1-for-13s,'' recalls referee Earl Strom. ''Nothing was getting close. S...
