Friday Night In Miami

 ☘️

C's are short handed yet again as they play the Heat. C's are looking to bounce back after that loss to the Thunder. Let's hope the refs call a fair game unlike Wednesday. Luke gets the nod in the starting lineup tonight. He and Al will be a force tonight. Both guys fit JTs ability to pass the rock. I despise the Heat and want the C's to crush them.

Time for JT and the fellas to come out strong. This Celtics team will be in Brooklyn tomorrow night. If they can handle their business, maybe they can rest in the fourth. This last month of the season is going to drag. Can we just fast forward to KP being healthy and start the playoffs. Oh no... Tony Brothers is the crew chief tonight.

Jrue Holiday starts us up with a pure three. Al follows suit off that great pass from Luke. All of that was initiated by JT. Al finds Jrue and he nails the three. When you watch guys like Jrue Holiday and Al Horford, you are watching what true professionals are. They carry themselves with a humble but loud presence on the floor. If I was running a team they would be who I would want.

JT gets in the board with a bomb from deep! Last time JT was in Miami he went off and I believe he will tonight as well. Jrue takes Herro down deep and totally cooks him. Herro can't guard to save his life. I love watching the DWhite Jrue Holiday action on offense. That kind of play could be unstoppable! DWhite gets into the mid range and nails it!

Anyone else blown away with the fact that it's almost March Madness time?! Where does time actually go? There have been so many memorable March moments. For me it's the 1989 Michigan Wolverines. That game I remember as clear as day. I could tell you where I was sitting and where my parents were. That was a special game and a memory I hold on to dearly. PP just cooked the Miami defender and nails the three. C's lead after the first.

🍀🍀

A clunky end to the first has cut into the Celtics lead. Overall I was impressed with the Celtics initial start. The ball was moving rather well. Jrue was as smooth as a nice whiskey in that first. C's shot fifty two percent from the field. A few too many turnovers for my liking. Overall they did a pretty efficient job.

C's may need to take a timeout. With that said PP nails a three from about half court! I don't like how close the Heat have gotten it. Excellent fast break right there. Walsh to DWhite to Luke! The ball barely touched the floor. That was freaking beautiful! When the C's run and push the pace it's unreal. I like when there's pace to the game. As Tommy would say RUN!

C's are killing themselves with turnovers right now. C's off of multiple opportunities finally get the three. Jrue with another three! Back to back possessions with Jrue looking elite from deep. This is the Jrue Holiday who can go off but in a very modest and smooth way. I have always loved watching him play and he's just become better with age. What a pass from Al to JT for that corner three! That was Beautiful!!! C's let the rope go here in the second and it's tied at half.

☘️☘️☘️

C's allowed the Heat back into the game in the second. You really can't allow a team to hang around or it will bite you in the rump. Luckily the game is tied and we aren't trailing. C's will need to sharpen their knives on both ends. Get back to pushing the pace and moving the ball. Tighten up on D and get back to Celtics basketball. They need to shut Wiggins down the rest of the game.

What a defensive play by DWhite right there! He is so savvy and wise on D. If you were to do an old school video on D, I'm asking DWhite to do it. Joe is clearly upset with the teams start here in the third. A quick timeout as the C's are now trailing. Losing back to back games isn't something the C's do often and better not start tonight. I hope Joe rips into them and they come out ready to compete.

C's finally do something as JT hits the three in transition. Jrue with the sweet steal and he scores on the other end. JT just bullies Herro and scores at will. C's better collect themselves during this Heat timeout. Come out and go get this damn game. The work is going to need to be done on the defensive end. Put that work in there and the offense will feed off of it.

Jrue is so good tonight, he blew by Herro and scores in the paint. C's aren't getting any whistles tonight. Similar to Wed vs the Thunder. Jrue Holiday with the pass of the game to Sam for three. PP from deep and the C's have the lead. What a steal by PP right there, plays the passing lane perfectly. JT for three! Great D by the C's as they force the turnover. C's with a slim lead going into the fourth.

🍀🍀🍀🍀

I was hoping for more out of the third, but they have a lead. C's must play their best basketball here in the fourth. C's need to protect the paint. These refs suck! DWhite for three! Huge shot right there! DWhite to Luke on the cut and scores! Great offensive board by DWhite right there. DWhite from the logo and drills the bomb. Kaboom! Derrick White is Mr Fourth Quarter! I want him as a Celtic until he retires. You hear that new ownership?!

What a look from Al to Qeuta right there. Beautiful designed play off the DWhite defensive gem. C's are on a ten nothing run and have regained a nice lead. Great hustle by Queta which forces Bam into the turnover. Queta is a guy who gives his all and is developing into a solid big. What a block by Queta on the Bam three. That showed his hustle and ability to use his length.

Jrue to DWhite for a HUGE THREE! Miami was building momentum until he cut their throats out! Hopefully the Heat fans will run for the doors and C's fans can get a chant going. If they can shut down this next Heat offensive set it could truly be over. I'm loving the kicks Joe is rocking tonight. As always his cross is on his shirt. To me that's most important. Al goes old school posts up and scores! C's clamp down and pull this one out!

Celtic Pride! C Us Rise! Bleed Green!

In defense of Marcus Smart

Let me make it clear first of all that I am totally against making a threat of any kind that even hints at harming, or certainly killing, another human being. Marcus Smart was wrong in doing so in the Celtics loss to the tanking Oklahoma City Thunder , and he deserved the one-game suspension. But to be honest, part of me loved that it occurred. . This type of thing can happen when a player gets to a point "beyond frustration" and is having a bad game. Marcus and his teammates have been under-performing generally - were in the process of losing to a pathetic-and-tanking Thunder team - and Smart was having a bad game . And he let loose verbally at the closest target - an NBA official. Wilt Chamberlain did a similar act versus referee, Earl Strom when Wilt was having his usual tortuous time at the free throw line (per Chicago Tribune's Sam Smith): ''He was in one of those 1-for-13s,'' recalls referee Earl Strom. ''Nothing was getting close. S...

Did the Celtics Kevin McHale really have a wingspan of 8-feet?

According to many sources, the Celtics Kevin McHale did indeed have an estimated wingspan of 8-feet. One of those sources is Wikipedia, as seen below: Kevin McHale American basketball player DescriptionKevin Edward McHale is an American retired basketball player who played his entire professional career for the Boston Celtics. He is a Basketball Hall of Fame inductee, and is regarded as one of the best power forwards of all time. He was named to the NBA's 50th Anniversary All-Time Team.
