Late Night Jazz

🏀

The Celtics have been sold for a huge number to a group led by William Chisholm. The question is will he be able to keep this team together? Sadly I don't see it happening, or at least that's what I'm hearing. Cs have clinched a playoff spot and have won fifty games yet again. Not too shabby. They only trail the Thunder and Cavs record wise.

Good seeing Max aka Cornbread in that lottery commercial. One of the most talented and impacful Celtics of all time. Young Celtics fans should YouTube hits highlights. The man belongs in the Basketball Hall of Fame! He's an excellent radio announcer and keeps it real. Kudos to Coach John Calipari in beating Kansas in the tournament. I have and will always love Coach Cal. He was always so good to me when I attended UMass Basketball camp. UMass will never ever reach those heights again.

It's time for tipoff! This Jazz team is looking to get Cooper Flagg. That kid is special he showed that today in the tournament. KP gets us on the board with a three! He's been playing incredible basketball lately. Cs are hot from deep, KP, JT and DW are locked in. Cs look fresh in their traditional road uniforms. I love basketball jerseys and wear them regularly. Sometimes they are the star of my outfits.

Cs have looked pretty good offensively tonight.  KP is killing it on the glass, grabbing the boards.  He's got ten early points and hitting efficiently from deep. Sam I am from the corner off the great pass from JT! JT with the steal and JAM! He's an absolute stud on the court. I love what I've seen here in the first. Cs look like a team sharpening their skills for the playoffs. Cs lead after the first.

 🏀🏀

That steal by JT was on another level in that first. Then Luke topped that with an incredible block. It was nice seeing Danny Ainge with JT before the game. Danny was one of my favorite players growing up. I wish Red had never traded him. He went on to play huge rolls for the Blazers and Suns in their runs to the finals. Danny is a heck of a GM! Getting us KG and Ray to join the Truth and winning Banner 17. They should have won three if not four rings.

Cs have owned most of the first half. Yet these Jazz continue to fight. Will Hardy has them playing with extreme effort.  KP looks to take advantage of the smaller defender. He's getting to the line and knocking down free throws. PP has not been himself tonight. His shot just isn't there right now. He's gonna find it at some point. Cs lead at the half...

🏀🏀🏀

RIP  to George Foreman who has passed away at the age of 76. KP has played a wonderful first half. He leads the Celtics with twenty one points. The dude is on another level when he's healthy. He is the key to winning Back to Back titles. He is the guy who will put us over the top if we see the Thunder. OKC has no answer for him and what he does for our offense.

In all honesty I don't care what the Cavs and Thunder have done this season. If the Celtics are healthy they will not lose to any team in a seven game series. When their top eight guys are healthy no other team can touch them. They can kill you with any one of those guys going off. I fully expect to see JT have his Bird like moment in these playoffs. He said he is chasing Bird and I expect him to show it by being his best. Which we know Larry always was. JT this season has shown he can bring it to another level.

I guarantee that if we see the Cavs that Jrue ans Derrick will be key cogs in shutting down guys like Mitchell and Garland. Come Finals and we see SGA both of them will make his life miserable. His foul baiting will not work. His game doesn't transfer to the post season. It's much tougher and physical game. No room for flopping into the defenders. Uconn mens basketball currently leads Oklahoma as they look to three peat. The Lady Huskies start their run to the title tomorrow afternoon.

KP absolutely cooks the defender and Jams it home with the one handed hammer! The unicorn is running free and dunking basketballs! Sad to see an almost empty arena right now. Cs ball movement has been Impeccable tonight. I like the color scheme of Jrues kicks out there. You know Derricks are pretty sweet too! Cs D is a bit relaxed and I don't like it. Someone needs to knock Sexton on his bleep. JT for three! DWhite with the steal and finds Luke for three deuce. Cs have made the big plays here in the third.

🏀🏀🏀🏀

Cs have a quarter left to finish this one out. No need to give away any games away at this point. PP is starting to cook after that fade away jumper. He nailed a long three towards the end of the third too. Not to mention that stop and start that led to  layup. The lead is only ten... We need to flex our muscle here and send the Jazz home with the Blues. Jrue with the steal on one end, and the epic give and go with he and KP. The man is smooth like a Luther Vandross love song.

I can't take anymore car commercials they are all absolutely horrible, Yet still not as bad as NBA refs! Cs have successfully challenged and won! The rook made the play legally and the Cs get the rock! Al Horford with the Tommy point that leads to a PP three! PP cooks the defender in the paint and scores. Cs have answered the call tonight and are going to come away with the victory. The lead has grown to a tad under twenty. We are now hearing a Let's Go Celtics chant! You have to love it!

C US Rise! Celtics Pride! Bleeding Green!

In defense of Marcus Smart

Let me make it clear first of all that I am totally against making a threat of any kind that even hints at harming, or certainly killing, another human being. Marcus Smart was wrong in doing so in the Celtics loss to the tanking Oklahoma City Thunder , and he deserved the one-game suspension. But to be honest, part of me loved that it occurred. . This type of thing can happen when a player gets to a point "beyond frustration" and is having a bad game. Marcus and his teammates have been under-performing generally - were in the process of losing to a pathetic-and-tanking Thunder team - and Smart was having a bad game . And he let loose verbally at the closest target - an NBA official. Wilt Chamberlain did a similar act versus referee, Earl Strom when Wilt was having his usual tortuous time at the free throw line (per Chicago Tribune's Sam Smith): ''He was in one of those 1-for-13s,'' recalls referee Earl Strom. ''Nothing was getting close. S...

Did the Celtics Kevin McHale really have a wingspan of 8-feet?

According to many sources, the Celtics Kevin McHale did indeed have an estimated wingspan of 8-feet.
